The 200M / 20ATM indicates the level of water resistance according to the ISO 6425 standard. ISO tests include alternating temperatures, depths, pressures (water, air) for different time intervals at rest and during the operation of the watch's functional part. In the case of diving models, an additional test is conducted for resistance to saltwater and the watch's ability to handle overpressure (decompression practices).

For the use I want, it is excellent so far. I have had it for just over a month.
I wanted a small G-Shock on my wrist but durable and able to notify me when someone calls me on my mobile. So far, it does these perfectly. It has never lost connection with my Samsung A70. It has fallen down several times, gotten dirty, and I have even washed it in the shower, etc. and so far, it has no issues.
I haven't used the running functionality, so I can't say, and I also see that it counts steps, but I haven't checked if the measurement is accurate.
First of all, it is not a "smartwatch" in the sense that smartwatch users know!
The process of pairing with a smartphone through the Casio app is unnecessarily complicated.
I am not new to smartwatches, and on my phone, moto g52, I have connected: Samsung Galaxy Watch, Haylou Solar LS05, Amazfit Neo, Xiaomi Mi Band 4, Amazfit GTR 3 Pro, without any problems, except for the Casio, which took me considerably more time following the instructions to connect and when it disconnects, which happens frequently, it does not automatically reconnect like the others.
As for notifications, the process you need to do on the watch to see one, if you receive any, is not worth it. Also, if there is not enough lighting, the screen is not visible, even though Casio calls it MIP (Memory In Pixel) LCD, the letters are tiny and the "illumination" lasts only 3 seconds, and the notifications are only 2 lines of text!
As for measurements, you have to specify what you are going to do, for how long, and for what distance! In contrast to other smartwatches/bands, where everything is done automatically!
As for the app now... Simply terrible. And the tragic thing is that after every update, it gets worse, as besides the difficulty of connecting/reconnecting the watch, it gives restart notifications at least 10 times a day!
For those interested, I would recommend watching on YouTube the synchronization processes, notification reading, but above all, the battery replacement process before getting it, something that unfortunately I did not do.
Personally, I have it connected to my phone for time synchronization, but I have disabled the notifications due to the process required to read them.
In my opinion, it is not worth its money, as there are much better smartwatches and even simple Casio watches than this one.
If it was at least solar-powered, so that the battery wouldn't need to be changed every year and not with a negative display, then maybe, but as it is, simply no.

I don't use a single "smart" feature of it, it's simply a tough, honest G-Shock for everyday use. Just because it's Casio, it gets 5 stars.
I've only had it for 3 days, so I will come back with a more detailed description over time.
Positives: Very comfortable in hand, clear display from every angle, durable strap with many adjustments, very beautiful but also gives a classic square feel.
Negatives: The auto-light turns off by itself every 6 hours, making it no longer auto. The light turns off every time you change menus or enter a setting, so with every change, you need to press the light. The date does not change format from MM/DD. For training, there is no other function beyond running essentially.
The battery life will determine whether the purchase was worth it compared to the more expensive DW-H5600.
If you want it for use like any other G-Shock with an upgraded and very beautiful display, and you are only occasionally interested in smart features, here you are
I think I chose the most beautiful square... I tried the notifications... I wasn't crazy about them, just like the sports capabilities... It's not bad that it has them... Well, let's clarify who this watch is aimed at and the reasons to acquire this specific watch.
It is not a smart watch. It is therefore a G-Shock with design roots from the famous squares for us old-timers (45+) with some fresh touches.
It is the watch for someone who wants not to charge it and have another device plugged in that will measure their steps and activity, e.g., running if they are a casual runner or walker with a map and connection to Strava and Google Fit through their phone's GPS, and it will notify them of incoming messages from social networks. It has Bluetooth connectivity and an app that I will detail below.
Its pros! MIP screen, which I consider to be the best negative screen available and the best innovation from Casio in recent years! (Imagine Garmin now 8/2024 on the Fenix 8/€900+ using MIP) where you can read it from any angle in any lighting (I have all the negatives in the drawer; thank goodness for presbyopia). It is compact on the wrist, does not get caught on sleeves, and does not "catch" if you are working with your hands in tight spaces; the crystal is recessed for protection against impacts. The strap is good in texture, not particularly soft, with many positions, making it unlikely that it won't fit you. The buttons are plastic but easy to press; you don't have to search for them like on the DW5600. The menu is easy, and the customization can be done both from the device and the app. You can choose between four screens with time or daily or monthly step graphs or world time. We have 200 meters of water resistance plus vibration for alarms and notifications, with a separate front button for night light.
Now let's mention the negatives. First of all, in 2024, it is unacceptable to have such a watch with a battery, even if you change it every two years (if you don't put it in airplane mode and keep Bluetooth on and use it as you wish for about six months!). Of course, it's a marketing issue; if you want solar, you go for the three times more expensive GBD2000, which is a more specialized sports watch, or the equivalent square DWH5600 with heart rate monitoring also at €400, where the competition works against you, and this negates one of the main reasons to get an affordable rugged Casio watch. You might think, the model is from 2021; I will wait for its replacement, and what does Casio do? The awful GBD 300!!! Same module in a round case with nothing new!
So, in the absence of alternatives, you will go for the GBD 200, or if you are interested in the altimeter, you don't want to charge it, and you don't want to spend much (under €80), the new WSB1000 is for you.
App. What can I say! Ten years behind Casio compared to Garmin, Samsung, Xiaomi; I wonder how a giant cannot compete fairly with the "weekly" brands. Overall, it is uncomfortable and very simple; for the first connection with your watch, it is nerve-wracking! Now let's talk about notifications!!! Okay, there is no reason; they are so small on the screen and so minimal, an useless feature, especially when someone calls you; it notifies you once and that's it! While on all other smart devices, it continues until you answer or the caller hangs up.
Now we have another disadvantage for some, it is slow as if it lags to execute commands! It doesn't bother me. So summarizing, if you want a watch with a negative display, you are over 45, a child of the 80s who is emotionally attached to the brand, where you want to see it clearly and check how much you've walked in the rain and shine, you have it, and with the change of the cr2032 battery, get it, it is beautiful and elegant, put it in airplane mode if you want to see the time and everything is fine, a fair purchase, it doesn't break, it doesn't get damaged! 6-10-24 after a month of use, I have to say that I am absolutely satisfied, I am attaching images from the Garmin and Casio apps, as you will see, the measurements are very close even though the Casio does not have GPS

The best G-Square for me. If it were made solar it would be the perfect Casio. Clear screen, beautiful/special design and durability in all conditions!! I no longer sync it with my phone, as I prefer to save battery. I have it in airplane mode and I see what I need (daily/monthly steps, world time) from the watch itself. I have more "smart" watches for fitness and gadget tweaking. It's worth the money and more... not as a smartwatch, but as a "different" G-Shock, with some additional features.
I give it 4 stars and not 5 because it could have not had the "smart" functions and be flawless and mainly, even cheaper. I bought it with the intention of not using it as a smartwatch at all from the beginning. I was looking for a G-Shock with a MIP display for everyday use. Indeed, its screen is worth the money, as it is readable at larger viewing angles and lower lighting than all negative displays but also conventional positives of Casio. Its strap is a bit less flexible compared to older G-Shock and Pro Trek models I have, but I read that its construction material has antimicrobial properties that seem to be present indeed. If Casio removed the smart functions/bluetooth/accelerometer etc., used a more oleophobic crystal and made it tough solar, we would be talking about the best G-Shock of all time.
The first thing that impressed me is the clarity of the screen. I was very hesitant at first because negative displays are always a pain to see the time, they are only for show. This one is bright and clear under all lighting conditions! And here is where the good things end... The buttons are a nightmare to learn, I don't know if it's because I'm used to the standard G-Shock buttons, but these ones are a maze. The mobile app is a joke, just a disgrace for Casio (which has actually released 3 apps and you need a different one depending on the watch, is that even possible?!) and basically I wear it without using anything other than the time and pedometer. Well, as for the vibration it claims to have, it has never worked, even though I have activated it.
It shows good measurements, good screen, the button for illumination is in the right place, when you download its own application, the handling-programming of the watch is very easy, the only negative thing I found is that the Bluetooth connection takes a while to connect. Purchase price is 160€.
After six months of continuous operation, the battery ran out with the Bluetooth, resulting in not accepting any commands from the buttons and not synchronizing, as I saw in the user manual for power saving. After 14 days and after a phone call with the involved parties, the battery was replaced and a waterproof test was performed. They only charged me for the battery due to warranty. The next time, the battery costs 5€ and the waterproofing cost is 20€.
Finally, after the small inconvenience and delay, I closed the Bluetooth system and use it as a regular watch.
The next purchase will be a watch with only solar charging because in the 10 years that the battery supposedly lasts, it is worth saving 5 battery replacements and waterproofing, which equals 125€ plus the watch's cost of 160€, totaling 285€. So, the watch with solar charging is worth a final cost of 180€, plus the fact that you don't have to open it 5 more times.
I have it for a month and it's perfect! I wanted a watch to count steps and have vibration on the alarm. I haven't connected the notifications. Sometimes it doesn't connect immediately with the phone.
The best thing if you are into fitness is the g shock move program, it is awesome and the build quality is top-notch, worth its money

Happy owner for 6 months. The screen, although negative display, is amazing. Large and clear. The connection with the mobile is easily done and through the G-SHOCK MOVE app, you can adjust the functions of the watch (alarm, countdown, stopwatch, etc.). I have avoided connecting the other applications and I have no opinion. The lighting is good. If you are a fan of square g-shock watches, then the choice is worth it just for its screen.
Well, I have it for 2 years, I never take it off my hand, I always take a bath with hot water, I work in construction, there are many hits, I don't understand anything at all, the only disadvantage is that it is not easily connected to the mobile phone. A useless watch that will drive you crazy, and in the end you will realize it's not worth its money. It doesn't synchronize, it doesn't notify, and generally it doesn't do anything well. Don't break your nerves and your money.

It is the most beautiful square G-Shock with the most distinct display. As for the connectivity with the mobile without having experience with other G-Shock of this type or other smartwatches, it seems relatively slow to me. However, even without a connection to it, it is fully autonomous and the settings can only be made through the watch itself. It counts steps even without Bluetooth connection. The only negative is that in the time setting, the seconds cannot be adjusted, only the minutes. I have not used its fitness functions, they are unnecessary to me, so I have no opinion.
I have had the watch for a month and it is exactly what I expected. Very accurate in measuring steps (it has very little difference compared to the iPhone measurement). The build quality is excellent (we are talking about G-shock after all) and the screen is amazing. I haven't tried it during workouts. From the G-shock MOVE app, you can adjust everything. The app has some issues, but I believe they will be resolved in future updates. The next step is for this watch to be released as solar-powered.
Finally, a G-Shock with an extremely legible negative digital display. Otherwise, the usual top quality construction from Casio, lightweight, slim, connects to the phone for training recording. Worthy descendant of the original square digital Casio from 1980
