Amazing for the price! The lens struggles a bit in darker areas, but anywhere else the photos are satisfactory!
Perfect camera for the price and for those who are starting out, lightweight, the only thing I didn't like and that I knew it didn't have was that the LCD screen was "stuck" on the camera
I have it for a few days, it's pretty good for its price, I recommend you to buy it if you want. I suggest you watch some videos by Alekos from unboxholics and you will remember me. :)
Although it is fine in general, the sensors do not handle iso at all and after a while, it will be insufficient for you! In my opinion, if there is the possibility, get something better!
(Instagram: i.vouropoulos_photography) I purchased it in August 2021 for amateur purposes. It is very easy to use and the camera lens is versatile. When I say versatile, I mean that it can capture landscapes, close-ups, portraits, as well as night/dark shots.
It is well known that the photographer makes the good camera, and even though I use it for amateur use, I can say that it impressed me! I think the shots I took speak better than ten paragraphs about this specific DSLR! It struggles in low-light shots, especially if the subject is at a distance and you don't use flash. The camera's menu is quite easy to learn, unfortunately, Canon's application for transferring photos is painfully slow and there will be times when you will get quite annoyed! I recommend a tripod for effective video if you later want to explore the camera's capabilities.
I suggest that as soon as you get to know the camera, you should buy a 50mm lens, even the Yongnuo ones for €80, for better bokeh in shots, nice portraits, and night shots.
Wonderful camera, very convenient menu, relatively lightweight, amazing portraits even in low light conditions, the battery lasts for over 200 clicks and with NFC and WiFi on, great stabilized video and with a Boya shotgun that I have, it's fantastic. The Canon application is also very good and simple. I've had it for about 1.5 years, I bought it for 290 euros, I highly recommend it, but now that I see it's priced at 480 euros, I wouldn't say it's worth it for a starter camera.
Amazing ideal for amateurs. It is not so good for night use, but it has captured concerts and night events. The 2 lenses help a lot for everyday and non-use. I don't know about videos, but in the 2 years I have had it, it has been everywhere and has not suffered ANYTHING!
Very good camera especially for its price, I had bought it for 380 and I believe it is a very good choice for beginners!
The entry level DSLR of Canon follows the spirit of previous entry models. The kit lens is dark, resulting in neither good bokeh nor good night photos. You might say that with a fast lens, you can take better photos. Yes, to some extent, but even with high ISO, it doesn't perform well due to noise. Generally, I would recommend anyone who wants to delve more into photography to go for higher-level cameras; otherwise, in daylight, all mobile phones produce decent photos, and it's not worth spending money on an entry-level DSLR
I bought it in early December 2020 for €250. Yes, back then it was worth buying and it takes amazing photos for its price. However, for the money it currently has, I recommend the equivalent and more high-quality Nikon d3500 a thousand times.
VFM for a starter user like myself.
Easy and user-friendly menu, sturdy construction, very good sharing capabilities.
Speaking always for amateur use that I do, it is definitely among the top choices for anyone who wants to enter the world of DSLR cameras. I would recommend to anyone who wants to buy this camera and then what they can do is to buy extra lenses to do their job. From what I have been informed and from experts in the field, the lens is what will make the big difference, so it is a good choice for someone to start with. A big positive is the wifi that you can connect it to your mobile and transfer your photos directly without cables, etc. User-friendly and easy menu with detailed information about everything it writes. Perhaps a negative of this particular one is that the screen is not foldable so you can see what you are shooting when you want to take a selfie or from strange angles an object/person.
For the money and for simple-amateur use, it's just what you need. I had no contact with photography, I've been dealing with it for about 2 months and I'm satisfied with what I see. Recommended.
update: Generally, after 1+ year of experience and purchasing additional lenses, I have to say that the one downside that bothers me in this one is that it doesn't handle high ISO well. It starts to degrade significantly after 800. Generally, it struggles a lot as soon as the sun goes down. The other downside is the autofocus through the screen (not through the viewfinder) which is slow, as expected though. But overall, I will remain of the opinion that it's worth it for a beginner like myself. If you have more money, go for the 250D without a doubt.
It is considered the best DSLT to start your journey in photography, being the first camera that is immediately above your mobile camera.
User-friendly with an understandable menu, it helps the photographer in their shots and offers satisfactory quality for the level it is, which is excellent, of course, and worth the money it costs. Of course, I should note as a semi-professional that with a larger and heavier lens such as 75-300 or 34-70 or 85, the weight increases to a noticeable degree.
Quite good for a first DSLR. User-friendly menu, easy to learn. Very good colors and high-quality images. Take a look at the Canon 50mm f1.8 and you will see that the photos will be very close to a professional level!
I bought it as my first DSLR to explore the magical world of photography. I am quite satisfied with its size and the capabilities it provides. I am sure that even with a different lens, it will deliver exceptional results. However, with the Kit lens, I understand that it has limited capabilities.
Recently I bought it...
I wanted to start getting involved in photography for years.
For a beginner, it's just what you need. At first, I was thinking about NIKON, but in the end, it's better that I started with this brand.
One big difference is that this one has icons on its buttons that help you adjust it, while the Nikon I wanted to buy didn't have them.
Overall, it's a good investment to start with. Since I have worked with other DSLRs that were much more expensive, I had an opinion. I think it suits me for now.
I got this one with two lenses
I have it for about 5 months and I have to say that it is excellent. I have used it even at night and its performance is excellent. Its battery lasts for more than 500 photos and it is perfect for everyday use as well as for vacations. I highly recommend it. For its price, it is the best choice one can make. The lens it comes with is not the best, but if you don't need it for professional use, it is perfectly fine. Besides, you can always buy a better one later, once you get into the spirit and are willing to spend the money.
It is a very good camera that takes very nice photos and satisfactory videos. The reason I give it 4 stars is because it does not have a port for an external microphone for better sound quality.
A friend who works at an international freelance photography agency recommended it to me, and I trust him because he travels all over the world, has contact with photographers from all over the world, and has well-founded opinions. I have it with the lens that gives 18-55. The photos are professional.
The first time I bought the camera with the kit lens. Now, after 3 years, I bought the same camera with the 18-55mm IS II STM lens and the Canon EF-S 10-18mm IS STM lens. The camera with this lens has become a completely different camera. It impresses in AF and photo shooting. The better the lens, the higher the performance of the body.
I definitely expected much better image quality! Unfortunately, I was disappointed! Even with a compact camera or a smartphone, I have taken better pictures. Additionally, it does not have a special lighting assistance for autofocus but uses flashes from the flash, resulting in eye strain! (Attention to those photographing small children!). The colors are very dull, a complete disappointment. I do not recommend it, not even to an amateur.
It is a very good camera for its price, and compared to its previous models, its only downside is that it is heavy, which is understandable for a DSLR
I have had it for almost two weeks and it seems perfect.
It is lightweight and easy to use.
It has a user-friendly menu and is easy to understand.
