Ideal for wildlife, sports, landscapes, motorsports, and countless other photographic endeavors, the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports Lens for Leica L-mount offers the features and image quality that professionals demand.
This lens provides high performance across the entire zoom range at all apertures, while ghosting, reflections, and various types of aberrations are well controlled.
An updated and redesigned autofocus system offers both speed and accuracy, incorporating an AF actuator driven by a stepping motor, as well as a high-precision magnetic sensor.
The optical image stabilization provides compensation of approximately four stops, with two standard OS modes for both handheld shooting and panning situations.
A new zoom torque switch gives users the ability to adjust the zoom ring's resistance level from Lock (locked at the wide end for transport), Tight (prevents zoom creep), and Smooth (for easy, smooth zooming).
Additional control elements within the lens include a focus limiter switch, OS mode switch, Custom switch for customized OS settings, and three customizable AFL buttons.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
An excellent zoom lens,
+ Sharp at 600mm with F/6.3, at F/8 the difference is negligible.
+ Zoom and focus rings feel very nice.
+ Excellent stabilization.
+ Firmware 1.2 improves the lens on all levels.
focus accuracy and speed.
+ The ratio between price and image quality
- Weight
- With the lens hood, although very well made, I can't say I liked how it attaches for transport.
Overall with the Panasonic S1R body that I have it reaches 3.4 kg Quite heavy but not prohibitive.
Very good lens, I use it on Sony a7iii, the lens is a gem!
It has two significant drawbacks:
A. Weight - It is quite heavy and combined with the camera, it will tire you out.
B. Filter cost - It has a large diameter and the filters are very expensive.
Apart from these two, for wildlife photography, it is the top value for money
