It is my favorite because it has no fragrance, does not dry out the skin, and works perfectly for cleansing the face after micellar water. I also use it on the body.
I got it to replace makeup balms that clog pores. You don't feel greasy at all, it has a gel texture but foams a little. It cleans deeply even heavy makeup while nourishing and hydrating the skin. I recommend it for all skin types
I have been using it for a while and I don't change it!!! Besides removing makeup, which is not its job, it leaves the skin clean and moisturized, even though I have very dry skin. I recommend it!!!
It cleans but it is not very effective as a cleansing oil. You need a large quantity to feel like you are cleaning well. Personally, I would not use it instead of a cleansing oil.
Wonderful product. I have bought it twice and will buy it again. It is aimed at dry skin and does its job very well. I see comments saying that it doesn't foam, but that is incorrect. Of course, it foams. It cleanses without drying the skin. Cerave guarantees for dry skin
Excellent soap for sensitive skin with atopy... it's worth its money, practical packaging, and most importantly, it removes makeup very well without scrubbing. I loved it
I mainly bought it for double cleansing in combination with the cerave soap that cleanses and removes makeup. The oil alone cleanses both makeup and, at least for me, mascara. And with the soap, you completely cleanse your face.
Gentle yet effective facial cleanser for dirt and sunscreen. It does not dry out my normal mature skin (59 years old in menopause). I will definitely buy it again!
It is a greasy cleanser, don't expect much foam! However, it cleans very well even though it appears greasy during use. I would definitely buy it again.
Wonderful for my dry skin! I mainly use it for my face and it might be the only soap that doesn't make my skin feel tight even if I don't use any cream. It says on it to avoid use on the eyes. I use it regularly without any discomfort. I have bought it twice and I think I will continue.
It is one of those products that modestly and humbly do their job, that you say "okay, it's good but I'm not crazy about it" and in the end you end up using it until the last drop, precisely because it is so straight-forward, but you may not buy it again. But at some point, if you find it in front of you, you will buy it again. That's how all CeraVe products are, they are affordable, they don't promise much but they deliver what they promise, that's why we get bored of them but we come back to them at some point (when we don't have money).
I have realized that I use it almost exclusively on my body and only on days/periods when I take frequent showers, so as not to bother my skin too much. I will use it on my face if one morning I feel like washing my face (which I usually don't do because I am a night-time skincare type) before applying my sunscreen.
It cleanses without drying out, it doesn't foam almost at all, especially in areas with hard water, but we know what CeraVe's "foaming" means and although it doesn't have a fragrance, it is not odorless. I haven't been able to figure out what the smell reminds me of, but it is not unpleasant at all and it definitely disappears with rinsing, which is easy and residue-free, meaning there is no leftover "film" like with other oil cleansers.
Oh, and just because it is an oil cleanser doesn't mean it removes makeup/sunscreen on its own. It is just a little gentler and more moisturizing than the classic CeraVe foaming cleanser, otherwise I would say they do the same job.
Good cleanser, especially for double cleansing, however it is not exactly an oil, it is more like a concentrated oil-gel that transforms into a gentle foam. Cleans well (including makeup) and does not dry out the skin.
Very gentle, it deeply cleanses my skin and the most important... It leaves it very soft and doesn't irritate it at all!!!!!! I will buy it again!!!!!!!
Oh lover of double cleansing, I saw that my favorite Cerave released an oil and I went crazy. First, let me clarify that it is not as watery as one might imagine with the term oil. Its texture is a bit more concentrated. Unlike other oils that you can apply on dry skin, you can't do that with this one. You have to wet your skin and then apply it. It melts everything in a few seconds with one pump. Ideal, like any oil, for removing sunscreen from the face at the end of the day. It creates a light foam and rinses off easily with water. Now, if the products you use are waterproof, it is logical that you may need to follow the same process a second time. Then, personally, I use the hydrating cleanser (with the green cap) from the same brand as my second step. If you use a micellar water after this combination, you won't find any makeup residue. I have been using it for about half a month, it hasn't caused any irritation on my sensitive skin, and NO additional oiliness. Personally, I apply it on my eyes as well, but it states on the back to avoid that. 10/10!!!
I bought it thinking it was an oil for the first step of double cleansing, but I was wrong. It is quite watery, not oily, and foams up as soon as it comes into contact with water. It can be used in the second step of cleansing, because on its own it does not remove sunscreen, mascara, and definitely not full makeup.
