I bought it as an alternative to a balcony awning, as the price is 90% (!!!) cheaper than an awning. So far (1 month) it has shown quite good resistance to strong winds. It also has a very nice and original appearance, much more original than an awning. If you do it with a patent, you could lower it when the wind is excessively strong, so you would also collect the awning. From temporary to permanent solution, it is a good choice.
