Although it is an old model, it is an amazing grill. It cooks evenly because the electric resistance is spread across the entire surface. All its parts are easily removable for cleaning. The plate is made of cast iron. I have an electric grill that I bought 23 years ago with a cast iron plate that burned once due to the electric resistance, and I took it to a shop that repairs electric resistances and the grilling plate because it was nesting inside the electric resistance. I have been satisfied with it until today, but due to sun and air exposure, the plastic parts have broken, so I searched to find a similar one with the same philosophy. And even though the new Severin PG8563 is perfect at the beginning due to my experience in grilling. And its price at 75 euros with a support stand to grill at a height of 85 cm is the ideal grilling. It is 2,200 watts with a thermostat and two color options on the temperature control knob. When it is closed, the color is cyan, and when you adjust the temperature, it is pink, turning towards red. Normally, after each use, you should unplug it for safety reasons, so that no child accidentally turns on the switch, and if there is no water inside, there could be a fire accident. As a rule, we finish grilling and unplug it. Now, why did I mention that it is an old model? It is from 2019 and is still being sold today, and it is the same as the new Severin PG 8568 series from 2024. The price of the new 8568 starts from 120 euros and takes a while to arrive from abroad, and from local stores, it starts from 140+ euros, with delivery taking from 10 days to 1 month. In other words, with half the price, you get an excellent grilling machine. The auxiliary metal grid that is under the cast iron plate, where you can place a plate with meat, mushrooms, peppers, or when you take out what you grilled on a plate, it does not fit properly and you have to secure it with a wire so that it does not move. It is not a reason to remove a star. Maybe, although I don't believe it, I might have not assembled it correctly. ADVICE: Get electric grills that cover the electric resistance with special notches on the back side of the cast iron grid, so that you achieve even grilling, and the electric resistance should be 2000 watts or higher. I recommend buying it, maybe it is the best electric grill for its price. If the electric resistance does not hold up or there is any other reason, I will come back. I regularly grill meats, fish, mushrooms, etc.
