New hiking guide with a 1:25,000 map of Taygetus. Taygetus forms a magnificent series of peaks extending for 70 kilometers. From the dense network of trails on the mountain, we selected routes that follow the steps of the pilgrims of the god Helios or the Prophet Elias. Trails wrapped in the imposing beauty of the mountain. Paths that borrow the convenient folds of the terrain and the gorges that have historically allowed passage from one side to the other.

For each route, there is a map, elevation profile, as well as basic information such as walking time, distance, difficulty level, vegetation, attractions, possible connections with other trails. The tour of Taygetus trails is complemented by photographs and the description of the route. The evidence of the existence of the most mountainous ancient roads that crossed the Taygetus mountain range with carriages is presented by Professor Giannis Pikoulas.
