Description

The G12 GC series is available in the standard ATX Form Factor and in wattages that are most common for a computer system.

The Seasonic G12 GC-Series achieves the 80 PLUS Gold standard by providing at least 87%, 90%, and 87% energy consumption efficiency at 20%, 50%, and 100% operational loads, respectively. This efficiency, combined with active power factor correction, allows the G12 GC series power supplies to reduce energy waste, which translates into cost savings on energy costs for its users.

Beyond being efficient, the G12 GC units utilize the LLC resonant converter design and the industry's leading Smart and Silent Fan Control (S2FC).

80 PLUS GOLD

The G12 GC achieves 80 PLUS Gold certification with 90% efficiency at 50% system load.

Smart / Silent Fan Control

The intelligent temperature control circuit is designed to find the optimal balance between the need to cool the components and the need to operate the power supply in the quietest possible manner.

The Seasonic G12 GC protects your PC from over power (OPP), over voltage (OVP), under voltage (UVP), over current (OCP), over temperature (OTP), and short circuit (SCP).

    Seasonic is one of the best power supply manufacturers out there and often makes power supplies for other companies which then simply put their own brand on them.
    The specific one I got (G12-GC-650) is quite silent and has its cables relatively well organized.
    With this, I replaced my old power supply which, due to its age and usage (at least 15 hours a day), had started to reach the end of its life, mainly because its capacitors had "aged".
