I come from a Samsung A40. I was very used to Samsung and the change is strange but not bad! The camera is pretty good although I don't really like the selfie camera! Also, the night photos are quite decent.
The battery is pretty good, it lasts almost 2 days with a lot of use.
I don't have an opinion on heavy games.
Overall, I believe that for the same money, you can find a better phone, but this is a good choice. (I got it with a subsidy, so I have no complaints)

Update after 1 year of use: poor sound quality mainly in video calls and now also in regular calls, to the point where you can't have a proper conversation. 2 stars because it doesn't perform well as a phone.

Positive aspects: fast charging, battery life of over a day, very good screen resolution, speed in app operation, fingerprint function.
Negative aspects: no LED light for notifications.

  I have been using this mobile phone for about 2.5 years and it hasn't presented any major issues to me. Only in the first few months, it used to freeze a lot, but then it got fixed and now I am satisfied that I bought it. It has some internet issues that I don't like, but it doesn't bother me that much because it provides great resolution for games and I am sure it was worth buying.

  Owner of this mobile for a year and a half.
  Calls are fine. The battery is very good and charges quickly. I use it heavily for social media and games and it easily lasts a day. The camera is okay in very good lighting, except the colors are somewhat dull... there are other androids with better cameras for the same price. However, in average or poor lighting, it is not good at all... neither the front nor the back camera.
  I bought it in the summer of '22 for €280 if I remember correctly. With the same amount of money today, you can buy a used/exhibition iPhone that is worth much more in my opinion, except for the battery.
  If someone is looking for a mobile that takes normal photos and is used moderately, it is fine, but not for more than that.
  If you ask me if I would buy it again today, based on my own interests, the answer is no

  For quite some time, the videos on YouTube would freeze. After playing 2-3 videos, it would freeze and couldn't play. I had to exit, clear the apps, and start again for another 2-3 times. They fixed it after many updates, at least 8 months later!!

  The photo quality is not that good. Like, you can't capture a good moon shot at all.

  A little over 1 year later, the apps started freezing (Viber, radio) and my photos were not visible for some reason. I had to restart 1-2 times for them to "appear" and be displayed. For example, I had a folder with 160 photos and it only showed the 24 most recent ones. Then it showed a few more. In the file management, the photos were there normally. But they didn't show up in the gallery. Also, I would record videos and there was no recording.

  Unfortunately, I replaced it again with Xiaomi (Note 11S) and I was disappointed (see review on 11S). I think Xiaomi is starting to compromise on quality.

  5 stars for the little beast of 200€. As an owner of this phone for 1 year, I have to say the best things about it. In detail: (7-minute review)

  Appearance:

  Beautiful, elegant, very lightweight. Quite thin and sturdy construction. Nice reflections on the back. Honest implementation by Xiaomi.

  Display:

  Amoled at 60hz. A world of difference compared to IPS. Extremely vibrant colors and wonderful resolution. Truly enjoyable. Convenient size, at first I had 6.67 inches so it felt a bit small, now it feels ideal. Bravo to the company for including such features in budget devices that used to only be found in flagships.

  Performance:

  Let's not kid ourselves. You'll get this phone to multitask and game, as it handles everything effortlessly. Ample RAM for background apps (+5 GB VRAM from settings = 11 GB RAM in total). Gaming is flawless, it can handle Genshin Impact at a steady 42 fps on medium settings!! (Tested). Truly impressive. As for speed, you can check out speed tests compared to the iPhone 12 Pro Max (Redmi Note 10S vs iPhone 12 Pro Max speed test: 1st video). It comes with MIUI 12.5, now with MIUI 13 it's even faster and smoother (will also receive MIUI 14 soon). Words are unnecessary... Also, it heats up easily during long gaming sessions, it has reached 43°C in the summer (normal). Overall, flawless.

  Camera:

  Decent for its price. You can take your photos in 64 MP resolution, shoot your videos, and the night mode improves things in low-light conditions. If you play around with the settings, you can achieve great results. It comes with cameras that cover every photographic scenario, very convenient. The quality is average to good for the other sensors except the main one (good for this price, sensitive to light changes in videos though). It falls a bit short in zoom, it's not its strong suit. Personally, it's enough for me in general, I'm not a user who buys a phone for the camera, although when it's good, I appreciate it (like here :) ). Now, if some people expect results like €1000 phones, it's better to save up and not fill us with useless comments, no offense.

  Battery:

  Capacity of 5000mAh. Very decent. With hours of browsing and social media, it easily lasts a day and a half. With hours of gaming, it needs daily charging. It charges at 33W with a charger INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE (let some people hear this). Results: 0-54% in 30 minutes, 0-100% in 69 minutes (indication). If it reaches 100%, it takes about 20 minutes to fully charge. Total of 89 minutes for 0-100% overall (result from DxO mark). No complaints.

  Sound:

  The device comes with dual speakers with Hi-Res audio certification, but it doesn't support Dolby Atmos. Strong surround sound. The top speaker sounds slightly lower than the bottom one, but it has relatively deeper sound. Good bass for a phone, average in general. Captivating in games and videos/movies (of course, if you turn it up, it sounds a liiiittle louder than the bottom speaker, but it creates the surround experience). Excellent implementation in a budget device, again, kudos to Xiaomi.

  Software:

  Lightweight, user-friendly, and easy to navigate settings. Of course, it has ads, but you can live with them. I'm not sure if it resembles stock Android, but it suits my usage very well and it's smooth. It comes with MIUI 12.5 out of the box, upgrades to MIUI 13 immediately, will receive MIUI 13.5 and MIUI 14 at some point. It will also receive Android 13. Further than that, I don't know.

  Other:

  Call quality is impeccable. Maybe those who complain have received a defective device. The speaker sounds crystal clear whether in normal or speakerphone mode, and others can hear me perfectly as well. No complaints here.
  Fingerprint sensor on the side, perfect. Face unlock is also amazing. I can't understand how they managed to do this on a €200 phone. The success rate of the fingerprint sensor is excellent (it only failed 7 times, maybe because I didn't place my finger properly, in a year of use I remind you) and the face unlock (it even works when I'm 2 meters away!!).
  I will come back if I forgot something or for further updates. Overall, very satisfied with this phone. One of the best value for money. I hope I helped.

  Edit: Please, those who come from flagship phones worth €1000+ should not try to downgrade the rating of this phone, it's pointless.

  UPDATE: Guys, the battery charges super fast. The dxomark results for this device are measured with old standards (check the relevant site). Practically, it charges from 40-80% in about 18 minutes. From 0-30% in 15 minutes, 0-100% in 1 hour and 20 minutes (full charge, the indicator says 0-100% in 1 hour). Also, 0-80% in 39 minutes and 80-100% (indicator) in 21 minutes.
  Let me clarify something else... the package includes a 33W charger, NOT 27W as some have said (maybe they encountered a different case).

  The phone uses 3 speakers for sound production, the main one at the bottom, one at the top, and the earpiece speaker. Very good result, especially for a phone in this price range. Of course, with the same money, you can get the Redmi Note 10 Pro which has Dolby Atmos. Both are excellent choices.

  19/06/2023: The phone received MIUI 14.0.2 a few days ago. It can take up to 5 GB VRAM, meaning the phone can have a maximum of 11 GB of fast RAM. It performs well in everything! It can handle any game you throw at it. Example? Fortnite on high graphics at 50 fps. I think you understand that games like Genshin Impact and PUBG can be played without any difficulty. 9/10 for gaming because I might miss something. Otherwise, 10/10.

  Well, exactly one year after purchasing this particular phone, I can confidently say that I almost wasted my money (€220). Except for the fact that its battery is very good and after 1 year it still holds up like a rock, in all other aspects it is very weak for what you pay. From the first day I got my hands on it, I have to say that I was slightly disappointed, as I upgraded from the Redmi 5 Plus, which I had bought for €130, and I didn't see almost any difference in anything positive (I did see an improvement in the camera, but nothing extraordinary, and out of curiosity, I played a game and it ran better), only in negatives.

  Of course, since the phone was still quite new on the market, I had patience and waited for updates. But Xiaomi has one of the worst software out there. Truly, from 2018 until today, that I have Xiaomi phones in my hands, I have really hated their software, from storage issues to constantly asking for permissions to open files even if you have already clicked not to show that message again. Also, there is a huge problem if you have both Wi-Fi and data turned on for a certain period of time. If you make the mistake of turning off Wi-Fi, it's over. The device needs a restart because otherwise your data will never open. That's it from me, I will definitely switch to another company, Xiaomi has been erased from the map for me.
