Guys, after reading so many good reviews, I bought it and received it today. I don't have an opinion yet on its durability in strong wind, etc., as I just had my first beach experience with it today and there was no wind at all. As a first impression, the umbrella didn't seem impressive to me. I thought I would spend 40-50 euros and get something good. The mechanism for adjusting the umbrella's tilt doesn't seem very sturdy to me, but in terms of shade, it's the best! We'll see if it withstands the test of time, but compared to common cheap umbrellas, it's on another level. It's just not visually what you expect when you think of something sturdy. I will update if anything changes and regarding whether it's actually a good umbrella like almost all the reviews say. I hope the photos help you understand what I'm saying, even though they were taken hastily.
It said 32mm, we put it on a 32mm percussion drill and it simply never came out again.
Poor construction, the fastening rings after one use in a few knots (it didn't even lift umbrellas that weren't tied) turned white as plastic does when it is worn out (probably also in combination with the heat but it is a beach umbrella so whatever)
What can I say about this umbrella!! I've had it with me for 2 summers and I wouldn't change it for anything. The first summer at the beach, with a lot of wind, tied down at 2 points, everyone was running to gather their umbrellas, I was just fine underneath! The next summer with a windbreaker, I didn't care about anything!! Cool shade without the sun bothering me, nice case, convenient. I would buy it again! I recommend it!!
Sturdy and quality construction, it hasn't suffered anything 3 summers later. In combination with a shock pole, it is very stable. And in strong wind, which bent once, it returned immediately without any damage.
The fabric, guys, the fabric... It's not that high quality, quite thin in the weave. It's a shame because otherwise it is EXCELLENT. Sturdy in the wind (with a shock pole, though), large in diameter, lightweight and durable.
Nevertheless, this is the second one I am buying because it has a very good price!!

The umbrella is perfect. Of course, in strong wind, it needs to be secured because it can turn inside out. There was a case where it turned, but it didn't suffer much damage.
very good umbrella, half the price of the Maui and almost the same construction the only difference I have noticed is in the fabric, maybe the Maui's is a little thicker - darker not definitely but there is this suspicion from me as I have seen it,
It is a very good umbrella, the same as the corresponding Maui and provides excellent shade at 2.20m. If I were to choose again, I would choose this one that is not collapsible because when it is windy, due to its size, the wind lifts it when it is in recline! So 4 stars only for that reason. Otherwise, it is a quality construction.
I have had this umbrella for about 1 month. Very good quality, cool shade without the sun being bothersome, nice carrying case, and perfect size, even 3 people fit comfortably. So far, I have not faced very strong winds, however, it is stable on its own, without an additional pole or screw head, and it also has grooves for extra support with ropes. I dare say it is a very good purchase and worth the money.
The umbrella is amazing! It was tested in strong wind with 2 parasols and together with a sturdy base it didn't move at all. Just place the umbrella lower that usual and then place the parasols in the opposite direction of the wind.
First day of use with 5 beaufort and with the hammering stake but also 2 pegs that I just put to have my mind at ease did not move a millimeter when I removed the pegs to pick it up and it stayed alone for a quarter with the air a little stronger again did not move at all. Now in more wind I do not know how it will cope but I do not think I can stand to bathe with 6s. Otherwise, its quality is very good for its money and it is identical to Maui as this was my previous one (probably coming from the same factory in China)
The fifth star will be given when it lasts us a few years. I also have a Maui 1.90, which is identical in materials. They are exactly the same. It seems like they come from the same factory and just have a different brand name. Plastic "ribs", with white thread tying the "fabric" to the "ribs". The material of the umbrella is thin. Overall, the umbrella is not over-engineered. It is not very cheap, but I wouldn't say it stands out in terms of "quality". With a strong pole and tying it with ropes, you don't have any issues with wind. The additional diameter of the umbrella makes a difference compared to the 1.90, but be careful that it fits in your car. For example, the 2.20 barely fits in the luggage compartment of a BMW 3 Series (E46).
Very good choice. It provides real shade, withstands wind as long as anchoring ropes are used, tilts without any problem to any side, but definitely needs a hammer stick for securing it to the ground. Very good price compared to the others.
Great umbrella with quality construction. With 2 such umbrellas, there is enough shade for 3 people to comfortably lie down and their belongings. Lightweight aluminum frame. The base's tip is plastic and secured with 1-2 screws, which is particularly sturdy, but personally it didn't affect me because I dug a deep hole with a small shovel and placed the base without any problem in winds up to 2-3 Beaufort. Recommended.
I bought it 1+ month ago and I have used it relatively few times, around 6-7 times with moderate wind. I don't have an opinion on strong wind, which some people say there is an issue with the air vents, but I will update if I happen to experience it.
Its construction looks very similar to the Maui one that I had for 3-4 years and it held up very well (https://www.skroutz.gr/s/23774772/Maui-Sons-%CE%A3%CF%80%CE%B1%CF%83%CF%84%CE%AE-%CE%9F%CE%BC%CF%80%CF%81%CE%AD%CE%BB%CE%B1-%CE%98%CE%B1%CE%BB%CE%AC%CF%83%CF%83%CE%B7%CF%82-%CE%91%CE%BB%CE%BF%CF%85%CE%BC%CE%B9%CE%BD%CE%AF%CE%BF%CF%85-%CE%94%CE%B9%CE%B1%CE%BC%CE%AD%CF%84%CF%81%CE%BF%CF%85-1-9m-%CE%BC%CE%B5-UV-%CE%A0%CF%81%CE%BF%CF%83%CF%84%CE%B1%CF%83%CE%AF%CE%B1-%CE%BA%CE%B1%CE%B9-%CE%91%CE%B5%CF%81%CE%B1%CE%B3%CF%89%CE%B3%CF%8C-%CE%9C%CE%B1%CF%8D%CF%81%CE%B7-1540.html).
It seems really good quality, it provides very good shade (e.g. compared to the Terra for 70 euros, but an older model had clearly better shade). It comfortably fits 2 people + a child with chairs even at 2.2m. It has pegs, so you can also get these here so that it doesn't move at all https://www.skroutz.gr/s/29440676/Solart-%CE%A0%CE%B1%CF%83%CF%83%CE%B1%CE%BB%CE%AC%CE%BA%CE%B9%CE%B1-%CE%B3%CE%B9%CE%B1-%CE%A3%CE%BA%CE%B7%CE%BD%CE%AE-Camping-%CE%A3%CE%B5%CF%84-2%CF%84%CE%BC%CF%87-2516.html. I didn't need to use them because I have a hammer, but you might want them with strong wind.
The worst purchase you can make. On the first day, the wind turned and a pole broke. On the next day, with a wind speed of 2 Beaufort, it turned again and three more poles broke, causing it to completely break and I threw it away. Avoid it. Get some Maui, hupa, kri kri, Radio Korasidi, or Pasok Tzoumaka instead. They will turn out better than this.
Good construction, satisfactory size of shade, but the problem I see is that the ventilation openings it has at the top are narrow (probably they saved on the fabric). The result is that when it's windy, there is not enough ventilation, so it lifts it up normally. It doesn't matter if you use a nail or an iron peg, it will lift it. And even if you tie it with ropes, at some point the plastic point where it is tied will break
Awesome umbrella with very good shade. It covers us, two adults with chairs, and our 3-year-old child. Good construction. It withstands up to 3mph winds without ropes, but above that, it may need to be tied down. Always use a mallet.
We bought it this year because we didn't have a good umbrella combined with the pole that everyone talks about. Obviously, it seems sturdy compared to the simple 10 euro umbrellas. We tested it in southern Crete for 6 days with moderate wind of 5 Beaufort and gusts. Well, guys, the umbrella turns almost immediately. It doesn't break but it shakes and it annoys you, we tied it with pegs, etc., and still it didn't seem reliable, I was afraid it would tear. So, I went on a very windy day to a nearby beach and paid for sunbeds. I want to mention that next to us, they had set up a large 2-meter Maui umbrella, the wind didn't shake it, of course, they tied it afterwards with only 2 pegs at the back. We tied ours everywhere and still it trembled. The arms of the umbrella from the middle and onwards are thinner, while the Maui's are uniformly thick, I think that's why it doesn't turn. It's not a waste of money, but for sure, at the first opportunity, I will buy the Maui. All the beaches only had such umbrellas.
It does the job perfectly. The only thing I have to note is that next to a Maui, I didn't find any difference at all except for the Maui's significance. They were carbon copies, identical.
Great umbrella, comfortably fits 2 people. Protects from the sun and withstands wind. However, unfortunately, on the 2nd use, the tilt button of the umbrella broke. I tried to press it and it stayed in my hand. Maybe my product was defective, I hope it hasn't happened to the others.
Excellent construction for a €37.5 umbrella. Honestly, I admired and boasted about it on all my vacations this year :) Great shade and sun protection - you won't get burned at all. In windy conditions, yes, you will need ropes, no umbrella can withstand sudden gusts of wind. With the 28-inch handle, as we all agree here, you're all set. Have a great vacation.
Excellent umbrella. It needs a mallet to easily fit it in. As everyone has correctly written, the 28mm on the mallet is perfect for the umbrella, so I also recommend this and not the 29mm as stated in the specifications.
After the 5 stars and the amazing comments from everyone, I bought the umbrella but I was disappointed. The construction is fake, we can't talk about durability since it breaks all the time. The mechanism is unacceptable, it catches fire. The shade is good and the size is fine, but the construction of the plates is terrible. I hope we don't waste our money and end up empty-handed. And it was a top seller, I honestly wonder why. No, personally, stay away from it and find a serious tool elsewhere
The umbrella is the best in terms of size (comfortably covers 2 people) and the shade it provides. I didn't use the tilt function much because I didn't need to, so I don't have an opinion on that. I bought it together with the Golden Fleece 26-28mm hammer handle, which is the perfect combination to ensure it won't be taken by the wind. Its own handle is a bit fake and you can just throw it away. It seems quite high-quality and like it will withstand the test of time. I see some negative comments about its quality. Guys, don't go crazy, for 38 euros it's great. Just get a hammer handle, it's a must!
Good umbrella in terms of size and shade, but the retraction mechanism is difficult to use. You have to press the button with difficulty and it can tilt. Additionally, the handle is very lightweight for this price. If you find it on sale, it's a good choice (25-30 euros), but not worth 40 euros
