I regret not buying it sooner. It replaced an old Chinese source with terrible sound, and the difference is night and day. First of all, its construction is very high quality, and you can see that as soon as you take it out of the box. It includes everything in the package for connecting to the car, as well as wiring for extra functions like a camera, monitor, etc., a trim piece for perimeter coverage of the front, and a microphone for Bluetooth functionality.
I made the connection myself, as I deal with electronics, and I didn't really need to change anything compared to the Chinese source I had. I also installed a reverse camera.
Its screen is satisfactory both in resolution and response. Of course, things get tricky in bright sunlight, and you'll need help from the passenger or when you stop at a traffic light.
Sound from another planet. Basically, this was the main reason I chose it, as I was quite frustrated with the Chinese one. I had already changed the speakers, but the source was laughable. Even though I had some doubts about buying the Pioneer due to its low price and because I had read mixed reviews, fortunately, I was proven wrong, as the source is amazing.
The only downside is the volume control button, which is not the classic rotary type.
Playback from Bluetooth or USB is flawless, with no disconnections or other issues. For calls, they hear me and I hear them just fine.
For the friend below who says that sometimes it loses the station settings, this happens when the BSN button is pressed, which initiates an automatic search and storage of stations. I accidentally pressed it too while trying to change the station.
Compared to the simple Pioneer 1DIN source I had before, the sound has a big difference... This screen neither produces volume nor quality... Also, sometimes it freezes and turns on and off, or it doesn't read the USB stick... This might not be an issue with the screen... It plays videos in 720 quality well, but at 1080 it shows a green screen... Also, it is very dark. For calls, it is excellent; they hear me and I hear clearly... It doesn't read Greek characters... Maybe a little cheaper would make it more value for money.
*edit
After about 2 years, today the touch froze; it didn't respond to anything, and it also wouldn't connect to the phone via cable
The interface with the Android Smartphone is easy. The bluetooth is fast. Unfortunately, the contacts that are written with Greek characters appear in Cyrillic script and most of the time it doesn't even display the name and it refers to it as unknown. The wired connection application is also good and fast, and one can listen through spotify/youtube etc and have google maps on the phone for directions at the same time. I haven't tested the camera and aux yet.
For the money it has, it's fine with pretty good functions. It doesn't do what the Chinese ones do for the same money. But it works very well with good sound and image quality. I know that something similar in Chinese would have wifi, GPS, Sim, android. But believe me, most of the time it will give you issues, at least this one will do its job 1000%
relatively good for its price, I had an older Pioneer source so I didn't need to change the wiring, I saw a big improvement in sound quality, it works perfectly with USB, Bluetooth, and radio, it just has a simple menu, it plays videos from YouTube if you connect it to your phone with relatively good image quality
Very good screen with very good sound... it does not support all types of videos... some downloaded video clips or concerts from YouTube are not readable on the USB, while others are read normally. When I play a video and for some reason the flow is interrupted, either from the phone or when I turn off the car and then try to continue, the voice does not synchronize with the video, resulting in me seeing the image first and then the sound coming with a delay of 1-2 seconds... if I have made a mistake in the settings, I don't know, and if there is someone who does not have this problem, please help me... otherwise, the source is very good.
I can say that it is very good for what I got it for, a bluetooth, usb, and nothing else fancy that I wouldn't need, I'm running 3 amplifiers with the 5 RCA it has and everything works perfectly, I didn't have steering wheel buttons so I didn't need anything extra apart from the ISO adapter and the plastic pieces it needed to fit in the car (Does not apply to all cars)
So I have installed it in a Toyota Avensis 2004. Huge upgrade, considering that the car's default was with a CD player without the ability to play mp3, radio, and cassette player!!! Now, to the point, it plays radio just fine and all the other inputs (USB, Bluetooth) are excellent. The call quality through Bluetooth is very good, the caller and the rear passengers can be heard clearly without any particular effort. If the installer is good, they will place the call microphone in the right spot for you. The menu is a bit confusing until you get used to it. I have two problems that generally bother me quite a bit and maybe I wouldn't have bought it if I knew them beforehand: 1) it doesn't support GREEK. Which means that if you transfer your contacts from your mobile phone, they will appear with strange characters, the same goes for saved songs with Greek titles on a USB stick.
2) perhaps the most important drawback for me is that if you have steering wheel buttons for radio, etc., you need an additional accessory that costs about as much as the Pioneer itself...
3) [UPDATE 22/10/2022]: Many times it resets the entire system, losing all its settings such as saved radio stations, etc., resulting in me hearing Cretan songs until I reconfigure it...
Well, we should know what we are buying according to what we are paying. For its price, it is a very good machine that does what it says and more. Now, if someone is looking for many wallpapers or more specialized equalizers, they can easily spend an extra 300 euros and get another machine. For its price, it is a must. Consider that for a simple 1 din radio, you need to spend around 40 euros.
It is a fairly simple machine that will not disappoint anyone but neither will it impress. It has all the basics but lacks the screen color adjustment to match that of a car. Its power is satisfactory but depends on the position and type of speakers. The external microphone works flawlessly. It required an extra fuse for 9 €. It is essential to have separate frequency cutoff adjustment for the front and rear speakers. Overall, it is decent for its price category.
Excellent sound for its price! I put it in a Peugeot 307cc, and it performs very well. It's a shame it doesn't have an SD card and doesn't accept custom wallpapers. Overall, a great purchase, and it plays amazingly on the radio
Perfect application on the 11-305 front for Fiesta. It doesn't lag, and the response is relatively immediate. The screen resolution is so-so, as well as the clarity (good at night, difficult during the day). The menu overall requires some time to get used to. It provides several settings for sound. The quality of the outputs doesn't have much difference from the factory ones. Maybe adding a decent (not necessarily expensive, like Sabre) DAC would add something.
