  Regardless of any technological security measures and if you have taken care to have a file of 3500 thousand photos in digital format and printed no more than 20, it is really like playing with fire. Especially when these photos depict children growing up... And we always want to print them and we always neglect it!!

  So we decided to take action by purchasing the L8160 and after 100 days of use, we are really glad we did. Even without any knowledge of photo editing before printing.

  We have and we say:

  Connection to the local network game even for non-experts.

  Remote printing without any problem from a desktop computer at a distance of ten meters, as well as from mobile devices with the corresponding Epson application.

  Material quality in relation to excellent is somewhere around 7, meaning relatively good compared to what usually happens out there.

  Printing quality is amazing even without any substantial photo editing!! Quality that 90% of those who saw the photos did not believe they were home photos! Epson and Canon 300g paper. I liked Canon a little more.

  Speed. From clicking with a 64mp mobile phone to the moment you hold a 15x18 photo in your hand with the highest possible print quality, it takes about 40 to 50 seconds.

  Consumption. Probably quite good. Having printed around 600 pages in maximum quality, including color photos in dimensions of 15x13, 15x18, and some A4, the ink image is as shown in the photo I posted and looks encouraging.

  Cost. Very high if it presents a fault before five years. Otherwise, the cost is manageable. With the idea that in five years it will have about 4000 photos and 30,000 text pages.

  Conclusion. I would buy it again.

  Attention now, when the photos fall on top of each other after printing while they are still warm, they can stick together and be destroyed, as shown in the photo I posted.

  One issue that arose is the disposal of gray ink, which paradoxically is consumed at a rate of 3 to 1 (as seen in the photo) compared to the other inks and on the other hand, for an inexplicable reason, it is hard to find... something else very serious is the wear of the inks during intensive head cleaning. Consumption per cleaning costs about 5 euros in inks. I had to do 4 intensive cleanings to unclog two colors that had completely stopped working and I lost about 20% of ink from all the cartridges. When the cost of all the inks together is about 100 euros with a durability of about 500 days of serious use. Unfortunately, it does not have the option of cleaning in a specific color.
