I have not tried a more expensive phono stage other than a Behringer one for 20 euros, and I have also heard a Project (the cheap model around 80 euros). There are reviews everywhere that speak highly of it, but also some that criticize a budget product, so I couldn't decide on this price category anywhere. I know that if I had 500 euros, I would get the Vincent Phono 700 without hesitation, but for this amount of money, 117.5 euros with shipping, the Vincent Pho-200 convinced me somehow and ultimately surprised me!!! I can't find anything that bothers me or anything that doesn't sound good. It combines well with mid, treble, and bass notes. It has bass (something that was missing with the Behringer, apart from the humming it had at low volumes due to the cheap transformer), it doesn't have noise or humming, etc., only if you have silence it doesn't play anything and if you turn up the amplifier volume above 70%. It has 4 small switches underneath that allow you to customize the preamp for MC or MM cartridges, something that is not visible in the photos. Finally, I would like to add that it comes with a decent AC 230 50hz => DC 12v 200 mAh transformer.
