It seems like a serious tool.. it is sturdy and heavy.. very noisy and creaks quite a bit due to its high speed rotations...

It appears sturdy for its price. It requires a little time to assemble the guards. It makes a bit more noise than I would like. I mainly use the belt for sanding 3D prints (plastics), I don't know how it performs with metals. The negative aspect is that the grinding stone (that stone disc) broke on its own within the first 2 minutes of use (I wasn't even using the stone, just the belt). The issue is that it jammed the machine and initially I thought it was completely broken. With a little effort, I removed it and it works fine. However, it doesn't have a significant cost as a replacement.
