A mediocre printer/scanner for home use.

The mobile software is good. If you want to install it on a computer, forget it. It cannot be installed on Windows. Brother is willing to help but the result is none.
Easy installation on wifi for two computers and on the mobile. The package includes 2 large black ink cartridges and one color cartridge. That is, you fill the printer's cartridge and you have one more black left. Normal noise during printing. The only downside is that when you print directly from the mobile, it takes 2-3 minutes to complete the print, while from the computer it prints in 5 seconds!
Connects immediately, prints very satisfactorily not very quickly but for home use it doesn't bother. Extremely economical, and with experience from another Brother very reliable.

Mediocre print quality overall, so it's not suitable for photos. EXTREMELY SLOW in color printing. 2.30 minutes for A4!!! Even for a simple text. I've never seen slower printing (and I've bought at least 15 printers to date). P.S. After a few months of use (as a backup, because it's not suitable as a primary), I also discovered that it is not economical at all (compared to the other 8 HP ink tanks that I use regularly). The inks print about 250 pages in simple color printing...
The 5 stars are not enough. I bought it after reading the reviews and I am thrilled. Compact design, good print quality, fast, with the only drawback being the noise it makes, which I think is common in all household printers. The paper drawer is very practical, it prevents wrinkling and dust. Connecting to wifi is very easy, the screen guides you step by step, I didn't need to install any drivers or anything else. Also, setting it up with local settings (date, time, print quality control, etc.) is very easy. The printer was automatically detected by my mobile device and I find it very practical to be able to print directly from my phone. Everything is excellent!!!! 9/2/24 by far the best purchase I have made, the ink has reached half with almost daily use
Purchased for home use, to print cheaply and as qualitatively as possible a small number of color pages mainly for the kids but also to make some photocopies and do some scanning. During the time I've had it, I am satisfied although it would be good to have Greek in the menu but mainly a larger and more readable LCD screen, it is indeed very small. Of course, in this price range and with such cheap inks, I think the only requirement I have is simply... IT MUST WORK!
5/9/2024 After more than a year still... IT WORKS! The inks are still halfway. It has made several updates to the software, so it is not "abandoned" by the company. I hope to come back with good words at the two-year mark...

It was purchased on the 11th of 2022 and I am writing my experience almost 6 months later.
Very good value for money (VFM).
Positive: Ink is very economical.
It doesn't take up much space and has a compact design.
Negative: When it goes into sleep mode, it disconnects from Wi-Fi and doesn't automatically reconnect when you activate it again.
It doesn't have double-sided printing.
This is the best printer, user-friendly, affordable, exactly what you need for your home and for small use. It's worth its money, I hope you stay satisfied.

3. UNACCEPTABLE
After a 4-month wait, the order was placed on 01/01/22 and received on 28/04/22. I have nothing more to add than the previous comments. Excellent in every aspect. That's why I had so much patience, even though the store suggested "equivalent" options from other companies. The main issue, I think, is the lack of Greek in the manual. It didn't require anything special from the PC to detect the printer. I was surprised that all the apps on Windows are paid... However, drivers and general support are easily found. As for the WiFi with WPS, it found it immediately.
I chose him for the following reasons. He has a paper drawer so I forget to put or remove paper with dust, etc., accepts photographic paper from the back, prints photos just fine (amateur level), separate ink cartridges super economical, seems to be of good quality construction, for the money I bought it there was nothing else with all these features overall.

Very high-quality construction with a drawer for paper storage, with 2 black inks and one color set. Very complete, nice application, easy WiFi connection. It was tested with Linux Ubuntu and it was found directly on Manjaro, but it was more difficult to find it, although there are drivers available.
Having gone through all the well-known printer brands with complete disappointment, I decided to try something less advertised. Nice design with a screen and good quality buttons. Its plastic is solid without any creaking. Compact construction that doesn't take up your entire desk. It prints from both PC and wirelessly from mobile, laptop. Setting it up is a relatively easy task and doesn't take much time. Good and fast prints without much noise. The most important thing for me is that you save yourself from the expensive ink cartridges. Here you simply buy a 50 ml bottle for 6-9 euros and make 5000 prints without worrying about the cost. I hope it withstands time and doesn't break down in 2 years like the others. Its negatives are the complete lack of Greek language in both the menu and its applications, as well as double-sided printing. Surely time will tell if it's worth it, but right now it's a value-for-money printer.

It is a quality, incredibly affordable (due to the ink), all-in-one machine that is worth every penny!
Its prints are very good (depending on the type of paper).
It supports high resolutions, both in scanning and printing. Although the truth is that for some reason, I couldn't get it to scan at 1200x1200. I didn't investigate the issue much though... If I can't find the cause, I will contact the company, maybe the firmware needs some correction. Speaking of which, the firmware is updated through the printer's software. At least on Windows.

It supports wireless connection (WiFi Direct) with mobile phones and tablets (Android and iOS for sure) using the corresponding application. In this case, you have the basic printing options, which I think are satisfactory.
Of course, wireless printing is also supported on a computer, but personally, in this case, I prefer the USB cable connection.
Of course, it also works completely autonomously as a copier and produces color or black and white copies with the press of a button.
In terms of speed and noise, it is definitely at good levels. However, its greatest advantage is the huge savings achieved with refillable ink (ink in bottles).
Also, forget about the common practice of printer packaging containing a reduced amount of ink. Here, a full set of inks is provided with 3 colors (48ml each) + 2 blacks (used for both color and black and white printing, 108ml each), of which you use one black. I mean, you fully fill all 4 ink tanks of the printer using the 3 colors + 1 black. The other black bottle of 108ml is left over for the first refill.
Each color theoretically lasts for up to 5000 prints, while black lasts up to 7000! (obviously not photos, but what can we say now?)
And imagine that each bottle costs only 6-9 euros. Always genuine!!!
There is simply no comparison in terms of printing economy, and it doesn't lag behind in print quality.
As for disadvantages, I would say the lack of automatic double-sided printing (although it is available in the more expensive model of the series, which also has fax), as well as the complete absence of Greek language support in both the software and the manuals...
However, no matter how you look at it, it excels in the important aspects to such an extent that it deserves 5 stars for its value.
It is not a coincidence that the machine says DESIGNED IN JAPAN.
