Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I have had them for 4-5 years. After using them, I wash them with cold water and dry them at room temperature, and they are ready to use. I don't understand how they have been damaged for others! They have a few kilometers and gentle starts.
Tires 195/50/15. These are my size... They are very good quality and not just a cloth like I see in others, they have a coating like "wires" to put it that way but the problem is that they are difficult to put on and difficult to take off. If you don't wear gloves, you will definitely hurt your hands.
Super product. I used them in heavy snowfall and drove with them for 60 kilometers. They behaved exemplary. I also overtook vehicles that were wearing regular chains and couldn't move quickly. I highly recommend them without hesitation.
It is a very old model of the photo and there the grid it has dries out and breaks with the slightest touch
Very good and high quality! It will show how durable they will be! I will return with an update in case something changes!
I bought them in 2016 and last year I needed to use them for the first time... but when I opened them, I had a very unpleasant surprise as the plastic buckle on the sole (I can't understand its purpose when it existed) was completely broken into pieces and of course the snow covers were neither functional nor able to withstand anything.
They made me look good with the "Hope" that recently troubled us. If you have a 4x4, it is much better to get 2 pairs. I tested them on a downhill with ice, reduced speed with hill control, and they did great. I also drove on normal roads and wherever I found snow, I went. They always require low speed, max 20-30 km/h.
Second-year Update: I washed them in the washing machine in the summer, for better or worse. They are quite durable with very minor damage after use. Just don't rush, especially if the snow is old and already packed.
Personally, I found the quality/price ratio excellent, the construction quality excellent, the blankets are user-friendly, easy to install even with wooden hands, life savers. I highly recommend it with my 42 years of driving experience. EXCELLENT PRODUCT.
I passed them easily.. in 2 minutes in a snowstorm.. I was driving at a steady speed of 50 km/h, I reached my destination safely.. unfortunately, they were stolen from me at a car wash.. I will buy them again
They are easily put on. The wear they write about has to do with the direction of rolling. If you step on them backwards, the seam wears out quickly
Good .. First year they worked great for me, it needs to be rinsed with water after use and spread out .. you don't want to "spin it" on the car's starts and go normal
Purchased at the end of December 2018. I used them on January 3rd, 2019 in Florina (Pisoderi), covering a total of 5 kilometers on a road with 5 points of snow. I did not exceed a speed of 30 kilometers per hour. The result was that the left one fell apart. Easy to install, but left me stranded in the middle of nowhere.
The dimension of my tires is 215/60 R17, so the company recommends size 87.
They are relatively difficult to put on, and once they are relatively in place, they center after a while.
When driving, you don't realize that you have chains on your wheels and the grip is good.
Removing them ate up my hands both times, even though I was wearing two pairs of gloves (fabric work gloves on the inside, and garden gloves for waterproofing on the outside).
I used them twice. I drove a few kilometers on dry/wet roads at a maximum speed of 40 km/h after the snow had melted (precisely because it was difficult to put them on/take them off). Maybe that's why one chain got destroyed after just the second use. During the (very difficult) removal, one chain tore, so they ended up in the trash. I will not buy socks again, I will go for a solution with easy installation/removal metal chains.
I have used them several times on Audi and Fiat Strada. Easy installation, just move the car a little forward. Good grip. Attention, use only on snow and ice, not on asphalt. Small storage volume and lightweight. Gloves are necessary for their application. Tip: you may need a size larger than normal for easier fitting. Try them on dry roads to know how they fit when you encounter adverse weather conditions
I wore them in a lot of snow and walked about 5-7 kilometers, and one of them tore both on the sole and on the sides!!! 60 euros for 5 kilometers is way too much. Now I'm waiting to see what will happen at the store where I bought them...
Second winter and they have comfortably taken me out (skiing on all the ski resorts in Greece). I could easily take them out for a third winter with the same ones, but I sold the car (Saxo VTS). No slipping when wearing them, no walking on asphalt and dirt roads. At the end of each day, give them a good wash and let them dry.
And for the new car, I will get the same ones since they have been tested by me in a large percentage.
Horrible. They installed them at the gas station with a lot of difficulty. Emergency purchase blindly. It took me half an hour with broken knees and crushed fingers to remove them. I doubt if I can install them if needed, especially with snow falling.
I have used it only 2 times.
Conclusions.
1. Very good build quality.
2. Does not wear out the tires at all.
3. Very easy and quick installation. (a pair of waterproof gloves is necessary in case the car's locks have caught snow-ice)
4. Excellent grip on snow.
Attention
It only works on snowy roads, maybe if there is ice somewhere.
Never on asphalt, never on gravel because it tears.
After a good test I did in the last few days in the snow, I drew some conclusions and I would like to share them with you.
1. Firstly, the product has excellent build quality.
2. You can put it on almost easily, and I say almost because for a woman it remains difficult to place it...
3. It wears out, which means it is not forever...
4. Having winter tires (snow tires) on the car and driving several kilometers at the beginning without the snow chains, I noticed that I had better control of the car WITHOUT them in all movements (braking, accelerating, changing lanes, and turning).
5. However, in case you are required to wear chains due to the police, then it is a more practical solution than the classic iron chains.
6. A big positive is that they do not take up much space in the car trunk and they can be washed and cleaned more easily than the iron chains. (Personally, I put them in the washing machine to be washed with cold water and without spinning.)
Unfortunately, the product does not perform well in difficult conditions. It is fine in the snow, but when there is ice and a slight incline, it lacks grip and the wheels spin. The multi grip also tears. When I asked Auto Demos to explain why it tore when they claimed it was suitable for ice, they said it is not possible and that it only happens when driving on asphalt. They didn't even bother to contact the company from which I purchased it. They told me to file a complaint myself.
They are incredible. The best you can use. They are worth their money.
Once on the snow and they ripped. Wrong handling response
