  The evo 4.1 are simply incredible. The bass is very full and tight with great control. The highs, thanks to the AMT tweeter, are crystal clear without being annoying in any way. The detail you hear is unbelievable. Maybe they need a good amplifier, I play them with Nad C275.

  First of all, I asked for closed-type speakers and not bass reflex ones because I am placing them on the wall and those were recommended to me. However, it turned out to be a bass reflex speaker with the hole at the bottom. Therefore, it requires distance from the wall in order for the bass not to sound boomy. I drove them with a Creek 5350se 2X95w amplifier, but the result was not satisfying. The bass is flat, weak, and not impressive at all. The highs are shrill and the "s" sound is slightly whistling. However, the mids are good, having a very good volume and impressive intensity. The low frequencies are not satisfying, especially at low listening volume. As reference speakers, I used the ATC20 (costing 4,400€) and you might say "are you kidding us!"
  However, for comparison, I also tried the Bluetooth JBL charge 4 (costing 150€) that I use on my vacations. The sound is similar, with the bass of the JBL sounding more punchy and simply lacking in volume and power (which is logical due to its size).
  Overall, the disappointing bass is largely due to the architecture of the bass reflex speakers, which may go five hertz lower but lose control over the suspension of the woofers. It is not a bad purchase, but they have a character that alienated me. I believe that with the floor stands that I ordered to improve the situation, I will come back with a better review!
