Guys, it's amazing. I have various speakers from the JBL GO 2 to the Marshall Stanmore, and I had already settled on this one for a waterproof speaker for the beach with powerful sound. The bass is impressive for its size, as well as the volume. Indoors or in a room, it truly rocks. Outdoors, it still sounds very loud, but the conditions play a role. For example, at the beach on a windy day, it could be heard but not as loudly, which is normal. Another day with good weather, I placed it in front of a rock, and it felt like being in a beach bar. People even thanked us for the great music we played! The mids are very clear, the bass is strong and deep enough. Of course, if you increase the volume above 70%, the DSP automatically cuts it off to prevent distortion, which is normal. Generally, though, you can play it almost at maximum volume without any problems. It's ideal at 50-60%, which is already very loud, and you have all the impressive bass. The highs can be a bit sharp in the beginning, but don't worry, they mellow out after a few days of use, and it sounds overall wonderful and balanced, with a slight emphasis on the bass. As for the construction, it's fantastic and sturdy, fully waterproof, and I got it in teal at a discounted price of around 143 euros. The prices circulating at 180-190 euros are a bit high, in my opinion. Wait for it to drop or look for a deal. I believe the right price is up to 150 euros. The color initially seemed a bit intense to me, but it's fantastic and perfect for the beach. It easily fits in a bag and is not heavy, weighing less than 1 kilogram. The battery lasts for hours if you play it at 50%, and you forget to charge it. It can also charge your phone simultaneously. Bravo to JBL for creating another amazing speaker for all conditions.
Update 8/2022: After the firmware update from last January, there is now a 3-band equalizer to reduce the bass if it seems excessive and to boost the treble, as I like it (but everyone can adjust it to their liking). So, what else can one ask for? An amazing speaker! It's the second summer, and it's the heart of the party everywhere, on beaches, terraces, etc. You can even throw it in the water, and everyone goes crazy because it floats and keeps playing! (Just rinse it with distilled water afterward to remove the salt.) Indoors, especially if you place it near a wall or shelf, it turns into a proper party speaker with awesome bass. In the bathroom or shower, it really rocks! If you don't look, you would think it's a much larger sound system, not a small speaker. After 1 year, the battery still holds up remarkably well. In normal volume, it takes days to need charging. It charges quickly and can charge while playing, so you never have to stop listening to music. Just be careful with the rubber feet; they tend to come off at the edges. If you notice it, just put a drop of instant glue there, and problem solved. Very satisfied, especially if you find it for under 150 euros, go for it without hesitation.
Update 8/2023: We've reached 2 years, and whatever anyone says is an understatement! It keeps working continuously every day in the bathroom, on the terrace, at beaches, etc. It's the perfect balance of size and performance, better than the Flip 6, which is also excellent but smaller, and the Extreme 3, which is bulkier and heavier. I think it is one of the top recommendations for a waterproof speaker (it even floats!!) with a sturdy construction and excellent sound quality. The battery doesn't seem to have any noticeable decrease compared to last year!! Go ahead without fear!!
