  Nice stainless steel kettle, no problems with its operation after about 9 months of use (almost daily). The temperature setting is very convenient, especially for beverages that need hot water but not boiling.

  It collects limescale inside, like all kettles I think. Every few months I boil water with lemon juice, let it cool, and then just rinse it and lightly scrub the inside with paper. This way, almost all the limescale goes away, without using strong cleaners.

  I bought the Gruppe HHB8702D 1.7lt 2200W Kettle based on reviews and very quickly reading only the 3-4 most useful ones.
  The use I wanted it for was only to boil water.
  What none of them mentioned is that after the water boils, don't make the mistake of touching any part of the kettle with your skin except for the handle, you will get burned!!
  I didn't expect a kettle costing €30 to be something you can only hold by the handle; I had much cheaper ones that had protection on their body.
  The temperature setting and the touch button are personally irrelevant to me, and I believe they add extra steps to the process for someone who just wants to boil water; I would have preferred just an on-off button.
  As for limescale, color duration, etc., I don't have an opinion yet; it's too early.

  It boils water quickly, it has a nice appearance, very convenient that you can adjust the temperature where you want.

  Unfortunately, my model was defective and when you set it to boil at 100 degrees, then the sensor never reaches 100 degrees (96-97) resulting in the water boiling non-stop and the kettle shaking from the boiling and splashing water outside. Very bad because it can cause a short circuit and the house to catch fire.

  I informed the store where I bought it and they told me that I should contact the company, I sent to the company and explained to them what was happening (I had it for only 1 week) I sent them a video and the only response I had from a gentleman there is "to make sure if the kettle has salts and to do a descaling and use it with the lid closed, otherwise I will have to take it to the GRUPPE store (who operates a kettle without a lid?)" I'm not going to waste time and effort to go and have a look at a kettle, they should send a courier to pick it up and take it to the store for repair (or replacement) and send it back to me.

  In other words, they didn't really care about my problem, they just answered with the poem they know (they may know the problem and just avoid answering), how can you give such an answer for a product that has NO trace of salt, it's only ONE WEEK, simply unacceptable the "courier".

  Just because they didn't help me with my problem, I will not choose them again (I know, I know, they cared a lot) hopefully others with similar problems will appear, to withdraw this model, it is also dangerous, nothing else.

  I bought the kettle from a well-known supermarket chain (so there is no confirmed purchase here).
  It is amazing, the temperature setting solved my problem, especially when you want the water at 70 degrees for Nescafe (without burning it). With the old kettles, I had to sit on top to close it myself.
  As for the limescale, the hardness of the water definitely plays a role depending on the region! With a good boiling at 100 degrees with water and vinegar, it shines like new!
  I like that the lid is detachable because this way I can place it upside down to drain.
  The price at around 33 euros is really value for money! and it's worth it and more!
