The DFRobot BMP388 barometric pressure sensor is equipped with the capability to measure temperature and pressure. It supports control via Arduino code. Compared to previous versions BMP180 and BMP280, the BMP388 exhibits lower power consumption, higher resolution, and higher sampling rate. Barometric pressure is commonly used to measure barometric pressure and temperature, but it can also be used to measure altitude and relative floor height, as there is a specific relationship between altitude and barometric pressure. Additionally, the BMP388 allows for accurate GPS tracking, offering a 3D indoor positioning and navigation experience in combination with the IMU sensor.
The BMP388 is based on Bosch's advanced piezoresistive pressure sensor technology, offering high accuracy, low power consumption, and high resistance to electromagnetic interference. The sensor has an accuracy of approximately ±8Pa, equivalent to about ±0.5m altitude difference, and absolute temperature accuracy of ±0.5℃ within a temperature range of 0℃ to 65℃.
