The water in our country is hard, and it is completely normal for all devices to accumulate salts. It has nothing to do with this specific kettle. Just add a little white vinegar and you won't have a problem.

At some point, Xiaomi changed both the software and the kettle. It is exactly what I wanted. It has two buttons; with one you can boil the water normally, and with the other you can set it to boil to the temperature you want or keep it at that temperature until you turn it off

The best kettle ever. I have it permanently set to 40 degrees for the baby's milk or some tea, and in a few seconds the water is ready. It also boils quickly. Nice design and simple operation. I never used the app except for the beginning when I set the temperature and the times I want it to keep the water warm. A year later and I have no complaints at all.

4 stars because after 2 years and a bit (just as it went out of warranty), it stopped working. The lights went out and never turned back on. I thought the base wasn't making good contact, I tried to fix it, opened it up, measured with a multimeter, etc., all in vain. It wasn't the base. Probably the circuit board. It's as if they are programmed to die after 2 years and a bit. Nevertheless, the build quality, the opening that allows you to reach inside to clean, the metal that has never rusted or changed color despite cleaning with vinegar, the convenience of the electronic thermostat, the accuracy in temperature, and the low acquisition cost for what it offers compensate for it. I bought the same one again.
For someone who has an infant and needs warm water at a specific temperature all day, it is an excellent product! That's why I bought it. Very nice design, easy to use, fast! The Bluetooth connection of the kettle is irrelevant! It doesn't accumulate limescale compared to traditional kettles, but it needs cleaning about once a week with white vinegar! The only downside is that after 3 months of continuous use, it developed a problem! It would turn on by itself and boil without stopping, resulting in the water evaporating, which is particularly dangerous when you're away! I don't know if it just happened because I was constantly using the keep warm function. The company replaced the product for me, so I will come back with an update!
It keeps the water hot and helps me make the baby's milk quickly. Since I use it daily, it's reasonable for it to get scale, so I put vinegar as it says in the instructions and rinse it well. If the kettle is not used continuously, it won't have scale all the time. With the vinegar, it becomes like new.
I have had it for almost 10 months, during this time it is the second time it shows E1, the water thermostat is not working, I sent it and they sent it back to me after 5 days, I plugged it in and after 3 days it showed the same problem, they did not replace it but obviously did nothing because the problem continues to exist! Our problem is that we have an infant at home which makes our life very difficult.
Dangerous! Broke in less than 2 months. It doesn't stop boiling, the water spills out. The base burned. I have a video that makes noise like a 70's kettle but it won't upload here. Stay away!! Spend money on something better.
the worst I have ever gotten.. first it collects too many salts, second it starts boiling by itself and evaporates all the water, third the thermostat keeps getting stuck and gives me E1 error and finally today something happened and it won't stop boiling and the water is spilling out
Very good! I bought it mainly to boil water and bring it to a temperature of 40 degrees for the baby's milk. It actually maintains it and the milk is ready without having to wait for it to cool down from the tap! It's worth the money!
A major downside for left-handers is that you can't see the water level indicator when filling it up. Call me weird, but it bothers me.
It is also relatively tall compared to its capacity.
Finally, when it is full, the lid does not hold the boiling water well, resulting in splashing drops left and right when emptying the water.

Ergonomically, I consider the bluetooth functionality to be a joke, as it is not useful for anything. Besides, in my opinion, it is needed to change the setting of how long to keep the water warm if you forget. The standard setting is 24 hours!!! And the minimum you can set is 'one hour'.
Another thing they did not think through well in terms of functionality is that in order to heat it to a temperature below 100 degrees Celsius, you must use the keep hot function.
Both problems are software-related, but from a mechanical point of view, this kettle is excellent.

Fast heating, the "keep warm" function is very helpful, especially for tea lovers and more. Sturdy construction with excellent insulation that can keep the water hot for longer compared to regular kettles.
The lid opens all the way back, making it very easy to clean the kettle.
The only negative (it would be good to change this in a future upgrade of the Xiaomi device) is the lack of a small filter to retain minerals on the edge of the jug. Areas with very hard water will produce quite a bit of minerals (which is normal) and some may break off and pass into the drink. If you use filtered water (in our case, we do this through a jug from a well-known company), the appearance of minerals is significantly reduced.
We bought this kettle a while ago, as we have a newborn baby and we want to boil water quickly.
First of all, the interior material is not good at all, as it collects salts that cannot be removed.
Secondly, it starts boiling on its own without being able to stop it, resulting in all the water evaporating.
Also, it smelled like burnt plastic from the beginning.
I should also mention that the feature to keep the water warm is not good at all, and from the app, you can't do anything more than maintaining the desired temperature.
I believe it was not worth even half of the 60 euros we paid. It is clearly for withdrawal.

Excellent product for parents. You boil the water and let it cool. Then you press it to warm up to the desired temperature for each milk without stress quickly and immediately.

I have a baby and I need hot water, so I boil it quickly and then choose to keep it at 40 degrees for 12 hours. I have peace of mind! It also has a mobile application
It has two options, boil and keep warm (with temperature options of 40-50-70-80-90).
Practically, this means that you can simply warm it up at one of these temperatures without boiling it first and just keep it at that temperature afterwards.
Which is clearly very convenient for coffee or tea, as one can have their drink exactly where they want it.
The application doesn't make much sense. You can't make it boil, only keep warm at the temperature you want and for how long you want to keep it there. In theory, you fill it with water overnight and when you wake up, you open the application, set it to warm up, and you have hot water for your coffee before getting up. A bit unnecessary luxury. It's easier to just go and press the button on the kettle. Not to mention that if you have a Xiaomi lamp or vacuum cleaner, you might accidentally press that and start cleaning instead of boiling.
For those who have a baby, the milk powder we used says to boil it for 5 minutes, this kettle can't do that, it stops as soon as it reaches 100 degrees and can only work on keep warm. It depends on what your pediatrician tells you, always. But I started using it for bottles after starting with the non-sterilized solid foods after the 6th month.
I give it 5 stars because it suits my needs. It's not particularly smart and may not suit others.
We had it for less than a month. Last night, in the silence of the night, we heard a bang. After a lot of searching, I went to the kitchen where the whole electric appliance smelled burnt. On its own, it had started boiling until all the water evaporated and obviously the appliance burned. Of course, the socket where it was connected was also affected. Disappointing at least, from a Xiaomi device, for which we spent 40 euros.
