It does exactly what it says. I installed an M.2 drive and it supports dual boot without any issues (specifically, on the drive that is in the PCI I have Arch Linux and on the other one on the motherboard I have Windows) and games. Good speeds, lower than the motherboard's, but it is in a PCI slot and depends on it.

It was tested on a PCI-E 3.0 slot and the disk performed almost at its maximum theoretical speed (>2000 MB/s). With the expected decrease in speed, it worked flawlessly on a 2.0 slot. It securely fits into a 16x slot.
4 stars instead of 5 because under heavy load, the disk will generate high temperatures. The package includes thermal pads, but they are mostly useless as it does not include a heatsink. The manual is not very helpful. I paired it with a Be Quiet MC1 heatsink and now it does not exceed 45 degrees even during stress tests

I have bought 2 and have tested them on 3 different computers, with 2 different M2 drives, Patriot and both 128 and 240 Gb. Installation on Pciex x16, Pcie x8, and Pcie x4. All combinations worked perfectly, without any issues.
The best result, of course, was on Pcie x16 where it gave me (and continues to give me) read and write speeds higher than the nominal speed of the drives. If the motherboard supports UEFI PCI boot, it works perfectly as a boot drive.
It transformed a computer with a 7th Gen i7, whose motherboard does not have an M.2 port. The machine easily boots from the PCIE card and literally boosts its performance, reaching speeds of 1,500 read and 1,200 write, at least equal (if not higher) than the nominal speeds of the drives. If the motherboard does not support booting from PCIE, the drive is visible and usable as a regular drive (with super-fast speed though) after loading Windows (Win 10, 11). With a price half that of other "branded" adapters, get it with closed eyesTranslated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful?It was installed on an old system with Intel Xeon E5 v3 @ 1.90GHz, along with a Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 3.0 for the boot drive, and it truly changed the entire behavior of the PC. The Samsung reaches speeds (in diagnostic tests) of 3482 Read / 3235 Write. Get it with your eyes closed, after making sure that your motherboard supports PCIe boot
