I work with 2 5ah batteries and the charger is close by (it fully charges in 20 minutes)... non-stop for 2-3 hours! *It is unbeatable when cutting with the 1mm disc. *The fact that it stops and requires a restart in difficult situations is a great safety feature.

Good wheel for cutting but mainly for polishing. This series (with carbon brushes) from Makita, like all brands, quickly drains the batteries. With a 3ah battery, you can make around 10-15 small cuts the size of Dexion or pipe. The plus side is that when it jams, it automatically stops and you have to restart it. The downside is that when the battery is at 2 bars or lower, it easily cuts off its operation when you put pressure on it.

This review is about the kit contents: 2x5Ah

I mainly use the wheel for cutting and sometimes for grinding. The pros for me are that it is extremely powerful, especially compared to regular battery-powered ones, it is well-balanced, and it has very little vibration (classic Makita). It has also been exposed to a lot of water (I am a plumber) without any issues. On the downside, the switch feels like it has a problem and doesn't seem to be of good quality. Although I haven't experienced any malfunctions with other wheels from the same company that have the same switch, I still don't like it. The main issue is the battery life. Yes, it is better than regular ones, but it doesn't last long enough. I have four amp batteries and I can't keep up with it just for cutting. Also, even though I knew it from the beginning, it doesn't have safety locks like some other disc brake category ones and anti-blocking protection, so it requires caution. If you hold it with one hand and it gets stuck, it is powerful enough to throw it. In conclusion, it is very good, but if you need it for grinding or put a lot of pressure on it, be prepared for many batteries. I would even suggest starting with 5 amp batteries (expensive ones) and see how it goes. The hex keys are also being prepared, I believe they will be a perfect fit with the corresponding cost, of course.
