Very easy installation, very fast, as soon as I switched the mode to AC, I managed to utilize the full speed of my 5ghz connection. The signal reception is incredibly strong. I am 10 meters away from the router and it doesn't lose a bar. I didn't expect it, but the difference compared to my old Realtek88xx adapter is huge.
Having tried both models and returning one because it kept disconnecting and freezing after a while, I believe it is not worth buying for Windows 11 at least. I am uploading test photos, my internet speed is 200 Mbps and the speeds above 200 Mbps that we see in the photo were achieved only with the Ethernet cable. I have checked the drivers to make sure it's not a driver issue, and this issue is at least tragic, as the drivers have not been updated for 1-2 years.
Owner of an older model from the same company. I got it even though it seemed expensive to me. The router is 10 meters away and there are two walls in between. I have no disconnections. The speed I see is satisfactory, reaching around 200 mbps in related measurements (provider STARLINK).
Good for about a year, I had no problem, now out of the blue it disconnects for no reason while there is nothing in between, like a mirror or something else, it's a shame because it was expensive when I bought it
I would like to tell all the good guys who complain about signal interruptions not to be whiners. Guys, it also gives you a CD in the package. Install it... At first, I had this problem too, yes. After the installation, the green light freezes and the tool works perfectly. ENOUGH
It disconnects constantly and at random moments. It takes anywhere from 20 seconds to 2 minutes to reconnect. My opinion of TP Link as a company has dropped significantly.
I bought it for my computer so I wouldn't have to run a cable from my router. It replaced another adapter from the same company that had broken down due to age (about 6 years). It works very well as since I bought it I haven't had any problems with the internet on my computer.
Well, for you who is reading... it's not worth its money, get something else. Nice operating system, easy to connect and plays immediately with satisfactory speed BUT it constantly disconnects without stopping... many disconnections that literally drive you crazy. As you can see, I'm not the only one writing this, everyone does... next!
It has incredibly many disconnections, meaning that in one hour it can have 2-3 every 10 minutes of 10 seconds each. (I use it for gaming and imagine a lag spike of 7-8 seconds every 3-4 minutes, the worst thing you can imagine)
TRAGIC. BUT GOD, THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER BOUGHT IN MY LIFE. I had fewer disconnections with the 56k modem in 2000 that threw me off when the phone rang. It disconnects and refuses to reconnect unless you unplug and plug it back in, I tried EVERYTHING, drivers, other USBs, you name it. E-waste. STAY AWAY. And now I'm afraid to approach anything TPlink again.
When the ethernet cable doesn't reach from the router, you use the TP-Link Archer T4U Plus v1. At first, you may experience some disconnections during setup, but later it remains connected to the WiFi. It doesn't lag at all and it connects to the router. I wouldn't recommend it if your computer is located in a room where the walls of your house obstruct it, otherwise it will be difficult to get a signal. It runs with 32ms at maximum and reaches 49ms. It's fast but can be noisy during application updates and downloading large files, music, etc.
easy to install..it disconnects all the time
.speeds are slow..I have 200mbps..the device is connected close the modem and the speeds are 90-120 with to link...
opinion..do not recommend it and also disappointed
Recently purchased due to disconnection and low speed issues via wifi: The router is on a different floor and the previous network adapter was the TL - WN821N exclusively on the 2.4 Ghz frequency. After installing the Archer T4U and connecting to the 5 Ghz network, the disconnection problem was solved and the ping went from triple digits to 2 ms. The speedtest measurement is very close (195/21 Mbps) to the nominal value of the package (200/20 Mbps). Even on the 2.4 Ghz frequency, the speed has multiplied (146/20.6 Mbps) compared to the cheap previous adapter that barely reached 30-40 Mbps. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
Just received it, installed the drivers. I have it at a distance of 20 centimeters from the router to test it.
1. I have 200mbps (that's what I get on all devices, laptop/mobile), with the tplink I get 70-100-200mbps on the desktop. It's never stable!
2. Many disconnections throughout the day (at least 10)
In win11, I downloaded the drivers, installed them, then restarted and now I have access to the internet via Wifi on my PC from a distance of 25 meters and 2 walls with only a slight signal loss... when it's not full!! Excellent result.
At home, I have 5G internet with the router in the living room. The wifi on my laptop in the second office didn't have a good connection, and I had to connect to the 2.4GHz. However, during video calls, I experienced freezing and low resolutions. My speed tests showed 10 to 30 Mbps.
With the adapter, I am now connected to the 5GHz and consistently reach 80Mbps. I haven't experienced any issues with video calls because the signal is stable, even though I have three out of four bars.
Needless to say, on my living room computer, I get 800 Mbps with a LAN cable.
It will help you solve your signal problem if you're not getting a good connection. If you're not getting any connection at all, it might not help. Don't expect miracles. I recommend it for its value.
Fantastic, worth it, great range, PC recognizes it immediately, beautiful and practical design! It disconnected on me with Windows 11, but I downloaded a driver, the WiFi-22.240.0-Driver64-Win10-Win11, and it works perfectly now!
Just got it. First impressions are excellent. Even though the router is in another room with many walls in between, its performance is amazing. It reaches the maximum. I highly recommend it without a second thought.
Very good, fast and stable, very good signal reception, easy installation and compatibility even with an old operating system, extension cable and support base for easy placement in any space. It does its job.
Very good, it does its job well, with good range and very rare disconnections, 1 to 2 times a month. For its price, it is honest compared to something else.
No matter which drivers I tried, it wouldn't connect to 5G at all, and on 2G it would reach very low speeds. It wasn't worth it for my 100 Mbps connection, so I returned it. (Windows 7)
