150€ for a 4-core processor, with 8 APU threads and integrated graphics that rival a GTX 750 2GB (in some scenarios, 750ti/1050 non-ti).
At this time, with prices reaching new heights and 1650s going for 500+€ or used 480/1060s (where you don't know what usage they've had, whether they have a warranty, or if they'll fail on you in 3 months leaving you hanging again after spending 400+€), the Ryzen APUs are the piece we need for our system to function decently.
Prices for Ryzen 3/5/7 range from 150-170€ for the 4350G, 250-280€ for the 4650G, and 350-360€ for the 4750G. The 3 has 4/8, the 5 has 6/12, and the 7 has 8/16 (cores and threads) with decent graphics to play some games at 1080p@30fps medium-high (maybe some games on low).
In terms of processing power, I would say they compete with the LGA1200 10th gen and the 2nd gen Ryzen (2000). So the user is not lacking in processing power at all!
Advice: pair the Ryzen 3 4350G or Ryzen 5 4650G with a good motherboard (B550/X570 for 150€+ like gaming plus, elite, etc.), give the system 2*8GB 3600++ MHz RAM with low CAS, and a good CPU cooler. Until GPU prices return to normal, you'll have a solid system that can later play 1440p@100+ fps with a 3060/3060ti!
