When I go to illegal websites to watch movies, I cast the Chrome tab to the TV and the movies buffer every 5 minutes for a second, which is quite annoying. However, I haven't tried it elsewhere.
It restricts you as you cannot use any browser. Also, it does not have all the apps that are available on the play store except for some selected ones. Other than that, an excellent solution to make your TV smart for a small amount of money.

The only "negative" I would say is its remote control, which is not very convenient for cases when you want to type something to search for it, and most of the time I control it through my phone and the Google Home app.
For the money, it's a good device. As long as I use it, it doesn't freeze, but every other day I have to restart it. Of course, I have an old TV and it's connected via hotspot and not Wi-Fi. I don't know if that makes a difference.
Just remember that anything outside of its software for loading programs and files requires a bit of searching.
After several failed attempts with Chinese anonymous TV boxes, I tried this one which, although it seems poor in specs, does exactly what it needs to do without side effects. It accepts apps outside the play store, makes frequent updates, and behaves perfectly in handling. At €80, there shouldn't be a competitor...
Excellent for its job. However, in a little while, Google will release a new one, so there is no reason for anyone to buy it anymore. It's better to wait.
This concerns the HD version and was connected to a 47-inch 3D LG from 2012 because its software is laughable. It has given additional years of operation to the television without exaggeration. Everything works exclusively through it, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Spotify, YouTube, and Eon. It is quite fast in all of these. It opens quickly. Sometimes, rarely, it shows some delay in opening, but not anything bothersome. Only in the Eon app is it a bit slower than the original decoder, but not by a large margin.
It is very good, I use it every day. The setting for what will open and close with the remote control is adjusted from the settings.
I gave it as a gift to my sister, she has had it for 2 years now and it hasn't presented any problems. The truth is that she doesn't use it frequently, but even I who have used it find it very good. I highly recommend it!
The only downside is that you have to log in with your account every time. You can't just cast from your phone like you could with the corresponding Xiaomi one. Unlike the Xiaomi, it is more high-quality, reliable, and has more features.
The only downside is that the power on/off does not work to open and close the application; you have to plug it in and unplug it from the socket every time, and the input for the socket is for UK plugs, not European ones, so an adapter is needed

I got it when it was at 50-60 where it was a very good deal at that time. Now that I see it close to 200, I suggest you get it from another company, or for the same money, get a new TV that is smart on its own.
Regardless of the price, it is a very good choice for someone who mainly wants to watch movies without spending a lot of money.
The navigation on the UI and the internet generally lags, sometimes it crawls and I don't know why, as it didn't do that when I bought it.
Personally, I find it very convenient that it has Bluetooth, as I like to watch movies with headphones, and it is convenient for quiet hours.

These are the best 80 euros I have spent on a device of this kind. Don't think about it at all; I have an LG smart TV and this is light years ahead in speed and usability. Absolutely satisfied, of course, they have raised the price a lot now.
For using Cosmote TV and YouTube, it does the job perfectly for me. The remote control works very well!
Received exactly as advertised. Works perfectly. Only issue is that it comes with an American plug but the company included a small adapter so it works fine.

4 stars because it doesn't have a sound decoder.
My setup is as follows. Google TV connected to the television (Samsung) and from the television optical fiber to a Samsung soundbar purchased in 2020 that supports Dolby Digital but not Dolby Digital Plus. The result is that the soundbar plays in stereo.. if it had a decoder it would convert the audio format and I would have multichannel sound.
(Note: The soundbar does not have an HDMI or ARC input)
Other than that, it does what it promises. In terms of speed, it is not lightning fast but not slow either.
Very commendable! I comfortably watch Netflix and Disney from a non-smart TV! I've had it for 2 years and it hasn't had any issues at all. Very easy to use
The best thing I have bought lately. I made the TV in my room smart and now I can watch everything cosmote tv nova netflix YouTube whatever you want. And in amazing picture quality
Quick menu with Play Store and all the basic Google apps with good controller responsiveness. On the negative side, I would mention that the controller drains the batteries even when not in use, and also the Chromecast signal for WiFi is easily lost if you are 1-2 rooms away from the router

Don't look for another smart stick. It is very fast and very practical with an Android phone at least. Also, the voice command is very helpful. It even tells you the time!
First of all, it forced me to download the "heavy" Google Home app (470 MB), just to watch TV. Then, during the setup process, it got stuck on the language selection! (It showed me an error message and wouldn't proceed.) When I finally closed and reopened the app, hoping it would unfreeze, it couldn't detect the device!! And I don't see any phone number for technical support anywhere! The initial impression is disappointing…
Very good for older TVs that are no longer supported by the latest versions of apps (Netflix, YouTube, etc.) but also for TVs that are not smart.
I would like the wifi chip to be a bit better/stronger because when I try to stream from the PC to the Chromecast, unfortunately, it lags quite a bit.
Other than that, everything is excellent.

It made my LG UHD TV smart again! LG had stopped supporting software updates for my TV that I had for 10 years, so since September 2024, it couldn't even play NETFLIX. Instead of buying a new smart TV and throwing away mine which otherwise has perfect picture quality, with the Chromecast it feels like I upgraded it.
Honestly, it is the best thing for someone who wants to make their TV smart. I regret not buying it earlier. Anyone thinking about buying it should go for it. I recommend it a thousand times. I have had it for over a year for sure and it has never created any issues at all. Everything works perfectly.
In applications like Stremio (not Netflix, etc.), 4K lags quite a bit. Other than that, excellent, fast, user-friendly, and practical due to its size for travel, etc
