• Loosen the clamp.
• Turn on the device by pressing the "ON" button. Select the unit of measurement by pressing the “ABS / INC ••• UNIT” button for about 2 seconds. Each time, the measurement result will alternately appear in inches or millimeters. The result in inches is described with the symbol “in” which is visible on the screen.
• Press the “ABS / INC ••• UNIT” button until the “ABS” symbol appears on the screen.
• Extend the measuring surfaces to a distance slightly larger than the object being measured.
• Then, adjust the coarse setting by turning the spindle knob and then continue tightening by rotating the friction clutch knob. Stop tightening when the clutch engages.
• Read the measurement result from the screen.

The measurement principle corresponds to the one described above, but the relative measurement is used for comparing two dimensions.

•  When you press the “ABS / INC ••• UNIT” button, the display will reset and “INC” will appear on the screen. After re-measuring, you can read the difference in dimensions.

The micrometer is equipped with a steel ball on a rubber base that allows placement on the micrometer's measuring surface. It facilitates the measurement of items with a small surface area. After placing it, the display should be reset according to the procedure described above.
Attention! It is recommended to place the workpiece or the micrometer before starting the measurement. This will allow you to achieve the highest measurement accuracy. It is also recommended to perform multiple measurements to obtain the numerical average of the results.
