The PLA filament is the most popular biodegradable thermoplastic polyester, made from renewable natural raw materials, in the form of fiber, intended for use in all FFF/FDM 3D printers. Due to its ease of printing, this material is most often used by beginners in three-dimensional printing.

The filament is intended for all FFF/FDM 3D printers that are open to materials from various manufacturers. It can be used in printers that operate in home or educational environments due to the lack of unpleasant odors emitted during the three-dimensional printing process.

PLA filament is one of the two most popular materials for three-dimensional printing with FDM technology. It is biodegradable and comes from natural components like cornstarch or sugarcane. The material does not emit as harmful fumes during the printing process as other plastics, making it usable in areas where people are present, such as during educational classes in schools. However, the room where printing takes place should still be ventilated.
