The Vintage mode provides an accurate representation of the legendary monophonic OC-2 from 1982, while the Poly mode offers numerous enhancements for extended range playing. With the addition of an octave-up function, a range of three octaves is now available for creative exploration.

The OC-2, introduced in 1982, was the world's first modern octave pedal for guitar and bass. It is still loved by musicians everywhere, as its warm and simultaneously bassy stomp sound fits perfectly in a mix. 

The Vintage mode of the OC-5 offers you the iconic monophonic sound of the OC-2, combined with improved response thanks to the new tracking engine. Dedicated level controls are provided for the -1 and -2 octave effects and the direct sound, giving you quick access to an endless variety of sub-octave colors.

Another nice improvement of the OC-5 is the new octave-up effect, which is available in both Vintage and Poly modes. Simply turn the dedicated +1 OCT knob to bring in the desired level of effect. 

Use the octave-up effect on its own for faux 12-string sounds and unique solo tones, or combine it with octave-down effects for extended chords and ultra-thick leads.
