Lightweight and durable, they are not meant to tie the hammock but to create a ridgeline for proper hammock formation.

These specific carabiners are incredibly lightweight but also incredibly small in size. The classic TTTM rope does not fit through the hole, perhaps they are more useful for the lighter rope (Lightest Straps). They didn't work for me, I used them elsewhere. I give them 5 stars because the product itself meets its specifications, regardless of my own use.
