Excellent watch. Much more accurate in time than the mechanism specs, it loses about 1 minute per week for me. 200 meters diving means that you can swim even in light dives without fear, thanks to the screw-down crown and the screw-down back cover. Satisfactory phosphorescent illumination. Very good finish and overall appearance on the dial and the watch. Very good feeling of rotation of the bezel, which turns only in one direction. Bad strap, I changed it immediately, although it is something you expect in this price range.
Beautiful watch with a Japanese mechanism, scratch-resistant sapphire glass, and 20-bar water resistance for 260€. In terms of quality, it meets high standards, with the dial being truly beautiful without any flaws and properly aligned. My wrist is 18cm in diameter, and as shown in the photos, it is large in size but not too big to not fit nicely on the hand. Personally, I am completely satisfied with this watch.
I was already satisfied with the Kanno series from Orient, with the beautiful (personal opinion), well-made, and particularly affordable models, but this one is even more enjoyable because of the sapphire glass. The dial is particularly legible and more vibrant, obviously due to reduced reflections.
I was already familiar with the bracelet from the Kanno, so I never used it. It doesn't suit me particularly as a construction. I have been using the watch since the first day with Nato/Zulu straps, in various colors (khaki, red, silver, and I plan to expand the collection) and I match it with whatever I feel like.
I don't think the phosphorus will last long, but in the end, it doesn't bother me much. If I wake up at night and need to see the time, I'll check it on my phone.
In general, this is my philosophy now. Two or three affordable, well-made, and value for money pieces, in different dial colors and with the mechanism that pleases me, matched with various straps. And let the game begin. Because ultimately, I want to enjoy my watches every day and not be tied down. Or, conversely, be able to "set up" one for every occasion.
Orient has covered me with two of these and at a much lower cost than what I would need for other options.
After a month of use, I decided that my first evaluation was completely wrong except for two small issues.
The watch is really high-quality.
Very beautiful design, its colors are wonderful, strong lume, + sapphire crystal.
It is sturdy, you can feel it in your hand, but it doesn't tire you.
The screw-down crown is tight and very easy to use.
The bezel is flawless, 120 clicks with a very nice sound.
The mechanism is reliable, it loses a few seconds per day. (If you don't want it to lose any, get a Rolex).
One issue is the bracelet, it rattles like hell... it definitely needs to be changed... (it's a shame because as a design, it's very nice and it also has the Orient logo engraved).
Second and lastly, the price... in a reasonable universe, the watch wouldn't be worth more than €180.
Personally, I got it used (in perfect condition, almost new) with a jubilee bracelet and a rubber one as a gift, €130 including shipping, from Italy.
Perhaps one of the best purchases I have made.
I am a collector of mechanical watches. From collectible Hamilton, Tissot, Bulova, Seiko premier, etc. I have to say that I am truly fascinated by this particular watch. From its accuracy for automatic movement to its durability (Sapphire crystal) and the clarity of its bracelet's quality. Congratulations to Orient for being able to offer us this quality at this price. I bought it as a casual watch and I haven't taken it off my wrist
