Very good image quality and minimal to no distortion in colors. I use it with a Full Frame DSLR (Nikon D700) and it is a great choice for architectural images, landscapes, and astrophotography due to its F2.8. It was purchased from abroad at a very good price because I am an amateur and not a professional to justify the price in Greece.

Extremely sharp even at 2.8. It outperforms Nikon's 14-24 2.8, which is five times more expensive. Fantastic coatings that maintain excellent contrast in the image and very few flares in backlit situations. Excellent build quality, just like all Samyang lenses. It has one drawback though. The fairly significant barrel distortion, which can easily be corrected with the corresponding lens profile available for LR. And of course, it is a manual lens, but that is not a big problem because at these focal lengths, the depth of field is huge. Did the friend who used it on a D7000, D7100 not know that it is wasted on a DX camera since it produces an image equivalent to 21mm and not 14mm? Average sharpness is definitely not a characteristic of this lens, as some claim. It is the sharpest option available in these focal lengths. Reviews and DXO confirm this. Finally, it is obviously a tremendous value for money.

If you want a sturdy and good wide-angle lens, this is your choice. Initially, the lens has a very solid construction and its optical design is very good. Especially at f2.8, it is very sharp, even in low light conditions. The only negative (let's say) is that it is manual focus. But with a little practice, it becomes a habit and doesn't bother you afterwards. I highly recommend it for both DX and FX.

In Nikon D7000, D7100, and 750, manual (and unique) focusing from the viewfinder is impossible. The distance is approximately calculated from the lens distance indicators. The aperture is not accurate according to the lens indication. It requires multiple shots for the desired result. In live view with a tripod, focusing is easily done with digital zoom. The result is quite good, it could be rated 8/10 since the sharpness is good in close-ups and very good in landscapes. Chromatic aberration is frequently present.

Wonderful lens, one of the best from Samyang. Very sharp, heavy but definitely the best value for money.
