Well, after quite a bit of experience with the material, I have the following to say:
1) It is not completely transparent, but it is honest. Usually, they work it with dye, so the "yellowing" issue is minor.
2) It is very strong and there is no need to brush it on the walls if you want to do casting for a river table, etc. It doesn't back down, it's like cement, don't be afraid. (whatever you stick it to becomes one body, as long as the surface is clean from dust, etc.)
3) Be careful with the molds, use packaging tape or non-stick spray so it doesn't stick to the melamine in the mold, otherwise you'll be pulling your hair out trying to remove it.
4) Work relatively quickly after mixing (10-20 minutes max) because it starts to smoke and it's bad for both the material and for you, and NEVER do casting thicker than 4-5 centimeters. It will break and crack. If you want a thick layer, do it in two or as many times as needed for your project, but don't exceed 5 centimeters at a time.
5) You have to stay there after pouring it with a torch or a heat gun to remove the bubbles it creates because it penetrates into small cracks, etc. (maybe even after 20 minutes it will release bubbles, we'll see)
6) Whatever tools you have for wood, you can cut, sand, and polish the liquid glass without any problem. Be careful with sanding using palm sanders or rotary sanders to avoid small scratches and be very meticulous when changing grits.
7) SOS, whatever it says on the box, 100 and 60 exactly (precision scale for small castings), don't deviate from the grams at all, it requires precision.
Other than that, your material is amazing, it gives you the ability!!

As a material, it is good but not cost-effective. Just forget it, guys, those who are not professionally involved like me, who do it as a hobby and don't make any money from it, you will be disappointed.
So, let's talk about a small auxiliary table, size 40*40 with sand inside, small pebbles and shells, and a thickness of about 2 inches. We need 3 liters, 2.7 to 2.8 kilograms, so we are talking about a cost of 60 euros.
For the construction of small objects such as keychains, necklaces, etc., it is good and will last, but only up to a certain point. If you want to make a serious construction, the cost is prohibitive.
Because I am involved in lamp making, I will try to do the next one with a varnish that costs 12 euros per liter, maybe it will be cheaper and have the same properties. Be careful, after 1 year, whatever you leave in the sun will turn yellow, just like burnt car headlights, it doesn't work in the sun.

The best company and I have tried them ALL!! Guys, I have experimented with all the companies that make liquid glass. Honestly, I was on the verge of giving up. One had yellow material, another had material that remained rubbery, and many that when the material dried had trapped 1000 bubbles. Others would fog the surface and required sanding and varnishing. Over the last year, I returned to MERCOLA and my problems have been solved by 95%!!!! Initially, its transparency is almost perfect, with an imperceptible "yellowness," which completely disappears when you color it with SWAN COLOURMIX LIQUID GLASS pigments. Try it yourself and you will see; I hope you don't spend as much money as I did until you realize that this is the obvious choice....
During the casting process, I used melamine as a mold, covered with silicone spray, to avoid the resin sticking to the mold – a vital tip that really saved my project! I also paid special attention not to exceed 1 centimeter thickness per layer, as recommended, to avoid cracks and damages.

I can say that it surpasses the good imports while being cheaper! From the moment we mixed it in the ratio of 100:55 (resin A to hardener B), I realized how important accuracy in the ratio is. I used a precision scale to ensure that the mix was done correctly, and the result was flawless.
It never comes out soft for me, as I read from someone. Watch the ratios, my friend; I made the mistake at first too. It might also be due to working with a lot of humidity (Dehumidifier!)
The material has amazing adhesion and durability. I made a casting for a river table, and even though I didn't put a coating on the sides, the resin literally became "one" with the wood without any shrinkage. The most important thing: the product can withstand a casting thickness of up to 2 centimeters per layer, which is critical because if this thickness is exceeded, cracks may occur.
I used a heat gun to remove air bubbles that appeared during application, and the result was a perfect, smooth surface, just like real glass. The fact that LIQUID GLASS is compatible with almost all woodworking tools (cutting, sanding, polishing) makes it ideal for luxurious and durable constructions. It is clear that with a little attention to preparation and mixing, this product can deliver amazing results.

It is not completely transparent. I have used other brands with much better transparency. It creates many bubbles that do not all rise to the surface but unfortunately remain inside. If you use it with color it's okay since the bubbles are not visible. Finally, I used it on a large surface (2sqm) with color and in some areas it cracked (Google it) and the cracks did not go away even with rubbing. It is one of the most economical liquid Glass resins on the market with the corresponding low quality material.

Instead of looking for mixers, take two aluminum trays (total cost 1€) and after pouring them into one, transfer them to the other. Repeat 5-6 times and it's okay, without bubbles. Level the application surface with a level. Pour all the material and spread it with a wide brush that you will throw away later. Pass the brush several times in a cross pattern. This way, the material mixes better and you also get a more uniform coverage. It is self-leveling, so there won't be any brush strokes! Nitrile gloves, necessary! For an 85x85 plastic table, a small package is not enough. Don't get a large one, prefer 2-3 small ones. It takes a long time to stabilize (about 8 hours). If you are going to apply a second coat, wait at least 24 hours. Fortunately, it is odorless because you will have to work in a protected area so that dust doesn't stick! If your surface does not have raised edges, your work will be much more difficult! I used the paper of an aluminum tape from the non-sticky side to create a border on my table. As soon as it started to solidify, I removed the paper! If your hands don't hold it well, it's better to leave it, otherwise, you will do a great job! In the photos I'm posting, an old nautical table! Its designs had faded. Generally, this is not a problem, but in an application where different colors are used without maturing them, they tend to mix to a large extent. Also, the final maturing time is also long.
