2024-08-20Expert userI had been avoiding encountering it for a while, and the time has come. One of the most advertised and beloved fragrances.
For my nose, only the following.
Opening with strong cardamom. Quite synthetic. While cardamom is generally one of my favorites, unfortunately, I didn't like it in the opening. After half an hour, lavender and iris timidly come in, and somewhere around there the batch ends, revealing a bit of powder and lavender, which balances the whole thing. After two hours, you start to catch the vanilla. I must also say that after three hours, in the deep dry down, it begins to become particularly pleasant because on my skin, lavender and vanilla are the first violins and are perfectly balanced. The lavender gives a refreshing character to the vanilla.
So, in general terms, we are talking about a warm, aromatic, slightly spicy, and sweet fragrance. It is not overly sweet. It is just enough.
The specific one I have must be at least two years old.

Regarding longevity with two sprays on the wrist:
Duration: 7-8 hours on the skin
Projection: for the first two to three hours, it fills the stage
Scent trail: leaves... There is a cloud that follows

It doesn't have the depth that I encountered in other fragrances with iris as a key element (try the Givenchy gentlemen edp in a tester, and you'll understand what I mean). I have tried hundreds of fragrances, and that might be the reason. If I had tried it fifteen years earlier, I might have said otherwise... But it is what it is.

When you see them, you say "they are identical" ... but after observing them for a while, you notice the differences between them. This is what happens with this fragrance and Le Male Elixir. They look like siblings, but the more you have them together, side by side, the more you see small yet significant differences. For me personally, Le Male Le Parfum is the ultimate winter fragrance for this year. I find it elegant, sweet, mature, masculine, modern, and at the same time timeless (as it carries the DNA of the original Le Male within its layers). It's a blind buy, guys, and its longevity is also quite good. Five stars with closed eyes!

Sweet, light, not overpowering. If someone has an issue with its longevity, they can spray it again. It's not like it would be the first fragrance to lose its longevity. An exceptional fragrance, worth at least a try. The best fragrance from Gaultier. Sorry, but the Le Male that some mention is particularly suffocating compared to this.

Now we spray 7-8 times with Le Male Le Parfum and ask our friends 25-30 minutes later if they can smell the fragrance. Their answer is NO!!!! unless they stick their nose to the skin. When it was tested in a well-known cosmetics store, its longevity was over 12 hours. When the bottle was purchased, there is simply no intensity and longevity. I have read the same opinion about this fragrance from many users in similar online communities. Would I buy it again???? Definitely NO !!!!! €98.76 in the trash !!!!!
