I have the same gearlock system for two years now with the fastening that is like a watch strap and I am very satisfied, I had it on a sailboat. I bought this one for the bicycle and it broke within 10 rides. The system is excellent but the bike mount is not. Buy the other one that is adjustable.

  I change a phone every 4 years... The case of the previous phone is shown in the photo... I have had the base for sure for 4 years... I have used it on mtb and for the last 2 years on the road... Many times I unscrew it and change the bike... Other times I change the angle by hand with force, without unscrewing it because I place a flashlight on it and at night I want it to look at the road.

  I have purchased 2 of these which, after 5-6 workouts, broke at the joint of the vertical and horizontal section.
  Also, the screw on the base support kept loosening constantly. Also, it is not carbon but plastic.
