The book highlights interesting theoretical approaches, from the cultural analysis of Eduardo Galeano's football and the connection of football with Antonio Negri's class struggle, to passing as an anti-establishment, altruistic act according to Camus and the triadic analysis of Lefebvre that is applied to three-sided football. Football offers a brilliant field for testing and developing radical political ideas - one of the most striking projects described in the book is the Corinthian Democracy that concerned the self-determination and rights of football players, even in the midst of military dictatorship in Brazil.

It is an enjoyable journey from yesterday to today, across five continents, in different political communities and exciting football experiences. It gives a good pass to the politicized football fan to place the football experience on a new basis, challenging power on and off the field, returning to the pitches and rediscovering the lost beauty of the game.
