Two months after the warranty expired, the eye that recognizes the disc broke and it doesn't work. Unacceptable considering the price and if one thinks about the fact that it was used twice a week.
Guys, I've had the console since '21, I'm quite satisfied I can say. I got it from Plaisio, the only downside is that it disconnects from the router for no reason.
PS4 owners who fell for Sony's marketing trick and bought a PS5 are fools without gamer intuition because there is no trace of strong games like on the PS4. They will only see these from future PS6 owners, which will not play PS5 games. Just like with the PS4, which does not play anything from the PS3, and that's why it had strong games. Owners of other console systems and those unfamiliar with the gaming industry, etc., who fell for Sony's marketing trick and got both a PS5 and VR2 are commercial victims of Sony, which does not respect its buying community. This is proven because the existing PS5 games do not come close to the quality of PS4 games, especially in online gaming. Where is the rival to Red Dead 2, Titanfall 2, or the online Last of Us? It pushes its VR2 to computer enthusiasts to play their Half-Life games so it doesn't have to pay contracts with VR game developers for its console, leaving its customers who bought the console high and dry. Instead of funding game developers, it closes developer studios and reduces the production of PS VR games. I am an owner of PS4, VR1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360
I rate it only as a console. But let's not kid ourselves, it may be highly capable as a gaming machine and the hype, especially when it was hard to find, was huge; unfortunately, there is no game that fully utilizes its capabilities, and we are approaching 5 years of existence. However, any game that exists is clearly going to leave you more than satisfied.
Sony's apps are at best mediocre, the subscriptions are almost unacceptable, and the compatibility even with controllers from Sony itself from the PS4 is deliberately poor to encourage people to buy the next model.
I bought it 2 months ago. It doesn't read the games and the joystick doesn't work, it just turns by itself. Sony has kept it for 10 days to tell me if they will replace it. If I were to buy a gaming console today, I would go for an Xbox or PC, never again Sony
Another Goliath that is capable of running everything, unfortunately, it is for deep pockets as new games cost €75 and the Greek household or Greek gamer cannot play whatever new comes out every 2 weeks. Finally, the purchase of the console personally is not worth it at all, all new games run on PS4, making it completely useless.
it constantly disconnects from the wifi
I play FC24 and every now and then it kicks me out, it's terrible.
the battery on the controller often needs charging, resulting in you having to eventually get a second one or a long cable..
(I have written a review before and I don't know what happened so this is something like an update) The PS5 is a fantastic console with incredible games, beautiful graphics, extremely fast speeds, and very innovative technologies that are still considered amazing today. Let's start with the exterior, it's difficult to fit this console on many shelves as it is very large, and the angles make it even harder. (I should mention that there are various custom plates you can get from different sites) Nevertheless, it is a very beautiful and futuristic console that truly looks like it has come from the distant future. The second thing I want to talk about, which interests most people, is the power. Although it is now almost four years old, it remains powerful and runs most games with incredible graphics and better than before as they now receive better optimization since developers have learned the hardware and software better, making games like Spider-Man 2 run better than games like Miles Morales, which ran worse even if they had worse graphics. Three SSDs: I believe one of the most "next-gen" features as the incredible speeds have nothing to do with the PS4 and PS4 Pro, and the difference is not just seconds, sometimes it’s even minutes. Four controllers: Again, I believe it is one of the most next-gen features because the DualSense has really two amazing technologies. The first is adaptive triggers, which in some games like Call of Duty, if you have the future on, when you shoot, the trigger would stiffen, or in Astro's Playroom when you become a spring, the pressure you have to apply feels like you are actually pressing a spring! Then there’s the haptic feedback, which is, for example, when you run in FIFA or make a tackle, the controller vibrates in a very beautiful way, nothing like the DualShock 4, and I believe that if you don’t hold it in your hands, you can’t understand. The games are really perhaps one of my favorite parts of the PS5 and Sony consoles in general are their games like: Spider-Man 2, Gran Turismo 7, God of War Ragnarok, and many others. I believe that Nintendo and Sony have some of the best exclusives. But we should also mention the negatives because nothing is perfect: 1. Poor build quality of the controller, I am careful with my things but once it fell and broke a small piece. 2. I think the price should be like at launch, that is, €500 for disk and €400 for digital. 3. It makes quite a bit of noise when downloading a game, especially if it’s a physical version. 4. 825GB SSD, TRAGIC! I’m not asking for much, just 1TB, and they removed metal from the console (those who are involved know) and made it more expensive! And to say that the console comes with 625GB due to software. That’s what I had to say about the PS5, I believe it is a pretty good console and I think it is worth it, if not 100%, definitely 99%, just for the price. That’s all from me, I hope you have a beautiful day. (update) I wrote earlier that it makes noise when downloading a game, obviously this has improved with some update of the console.
The console is awesome, whatever I say is little, the graphics are amazing and the games it has are perfect. Now as for the bad reviews I saw, none of them are true. It's worth every last euro
The Sony console, the PS5, does not freeze at all, nor does it lag in applications or on the home screen. It takes 3 to 5 minutes for system updates, and it takes 16 seconds to update the controllers. It can play PS4 games, and it can also read PS4 discs and DVD player discs. It is worth every penny, I would rate it 10 out of 10
I bought the playstation 5 3 months ago, it had a fault, it keeps disconnecting and the blue light turns on. I contacted the store where I bought it and they told me to contact Sony's headquarters. They replied that I should send it to them and they will send me another repaired one, not the one I have had for three months and almost like new. They told me that's how Sony operates, if it breaks, we exchange it among ourselves and whoever is lucky
I am facing an issue with the Playstation 5, the joystick does not respond correctly (I have 3 Original) to the choices I make during gameplay (it is slow to respond). If someone has identified the same problem and there is a solution for it, please write a message because I am really disappointed
After a few months of having it, I can say the following: depending on what you like, buy it. The exclusives it has (e.g. God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, Horizon) are very good. If you enjoy such games, go for it. That's why I would say, if what you prefer in games (and of course if the controller suits you) is the PlayStation 5, it is most likely to give you the satisfaction you want. I, who have used countless consoles from Nintendo Wii to Original Xbox and Xbox360, really like the new games (next gen). If you also have the right screen, it makes the experience simply incredible. The graphics are amazing, I won't say anything more. The price now is quite good at 550 euros, even in the Slim version. Now, I have the previous Disc version (the one that is visible) and it is a bit bulky in the space, but I have fixed it and it doesn't bother me. Now that they only sell the Slim version, I believe it serves people better in terms of space, BUT it also has 1 terabyte capacity, compared to the regular one which only has 825gb (which goes even lower with all the downloads). Personally, I have no issue with that. I also have the 3D Pulse headphones, they are very good in terms of sound for the price of 90 euros that I bought them, but the microphone is not the best. The Dualsense, I can't say they are bad, they feel great and also have a good microphone.
That's all I had to say, in case someone gets it, enjoy playing!
The console is a poor and mediocre construction from the console itself to the controller (stick drift after 2 months). Disappointing games and unfulfilled promises, STAY AWAY FROM SONY
I bought it on sale for 430 and I am very satisfied, it has very good performance overall. Maybe it should have been a little cheaper than the standard price of 550. As for the question why I didn't buy a PC, the reason was the high purchase price and that I didn't want to deal with installments. However, if you have the opportunity, prefer a good computer even though it is a console
With a little extra money, I built a computer in 2018 and even though it's 2 years older, it outperforms the PS5. I didn't buy a next-gen gaming console to play old video games, I can run them on the PS4. Besides, the new games are no longer fun, the exclusives are so automated that it seems like you don't even need to play them, you can go for a coffee and the game will be solved by the time you come back. Everything is simulated. I don't want better graphics, I want the games to be fun again. Screw us for the skin texture of the grass. The era of €80 remasters and price increases is coming. THE CONTROLLER IS GOOD, I USE IT ON MY COMPUTER/ the PS5 is a disappointment.
Well, since the console was first released.. I tried it.. I left enough time to get something reliable and honest, I didn't regret not trying it when it first came out in experimental stages. Well, I don't have a strong opinion about the ps5, but as soon as you open it and play the astroplayroom, what you realize is that the controller makes a big difference. I will come back at some point with a new comment after a while when I have an opinion. And it doesn't seem to me that it will be negative! Because after a huge experience with the ps4 pro, I believe it will be much better. Enjoy it to those who have it and to those who are enjoying it. I hope they get it soon and those who want it. 550 for the ps5 slim is not a small amount. They could have lowered it to 400 so that people can afford it. I wish you a good year with health and good gaming.
I got it for Christmas 2021 and I have to say that it is the most powerful console that has been released on the market so far. I have a 55" 4k HDR TV and the experience is truly incredible. I mainly play Fortnite, COD, GTA, Gran Turismo 7, and others. Recently, I bought Spider-Man 2 and I can say after hours of playing that the experience is fantastic. The controller is out of this world. Not only is it bigger and fits larger hands, but also the vibration and design. As for the storage, it's okay because you can download around 6-7 games, but you have the option to expand it. Personally, I wouldn't change it for anything and I will never switch to Xbox.
After 3 days of use, in my opinion, the console is overpriced. It should have been at least half the price. The games are very expensive and not particularly special. And all of them are war-themed. I don't doubt that it has beautiful graphics and a very good controller. But that's as far as it goes. We are in the era of consumerism and as long as there are those who buy them, some will profit shamelessly.
Amazing picture easy installation automatic updates. Great range of games very clear picture and amazing pre-installed game. I bought it for 599 with 24 months free PSN Plus and I consider it a fair choice. I chose the Blu-ray version because I have titles from the 4th that are fully compatible with the console with an update. Its controller is the best that Sony has released so far. Interactive game with powerful vibration, with sufficient autonomy and the control buttons change difficulty level depending on the game and situation. Excellent console visually beautiful and can stand upright or vertically. Like the previous console, you have the ability to buy an external one to transfer all the games you need there so you never run out of space.
It is interesting after 30 years to buy the most advanced console, at this moment.
Everything is impressive and only positive. Time will tell.
For now, it is entertaining.
It hasn't been a month. The drive has been a nightmare. Sometimes it recognizes the disc, sometimes it doesn't. I plug in the Internet cable, and sometimes it finds it, sometimes it loses it. It has a mind of its own. It does updates, and I think it will get better... but it continues its own way. It has been at the store for a week because they say Sony's system has a problem and they can't register it to send it to Athens. Minecraft is still inside, and I hear things from the kid that I haven't heard in the last 10 years.
After it stayed 10 days at Germanos and after 4-5 phone calls, I send it myself to Astra. I call after 4 days, and they still haven't registered it in the system because they say they have a lot of work and it will still be in their warehouse.
It's approaching 20 days in total, and still nothing.
Edit:
After another 5 days, they finally sent another one. I don't even know if it's new or refurbished used. They didn't bother to put the Minecraft disc in the case I had inside; they just threw it loose in the box.
For the 599 euros I paid (with 2 years of PS Plus Premium), I didn't expect them to bow and apologize, but I expected a little better service and better response times.
For an extension of the Premium Plus by 25 days while... it was going back and forth, not a word.
The conclusions are yours.
27-3
Edit: Problem with the controller, the right stick doesn't work. Back to Astra, and they say they will send a new one in 15 days.
Say hello to the captain with the captains!!!
The kid is ready to bring it to me as a hat...
The conclusions (again) are yours.
Soon, the... cables will probably break too...
P.S. The PS4 that is about to turn ten hasn't made a peep...
I consider it unacceptable that it does not have a 2TB hard drive, so if you install 7-8 games, the hard drive will be full... Truly unacceptable considering the purchase cost, as you will need to buy a disk worth €100 or more after a short period of time... Not to mention the lack of game variety, let alone the ability to play with at least two people since these 10-15 games that are available are only for one person...
Very disappointing and negative console for me. I have both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X and I can comfortably say that the Xbox is far better. Much better, more minimal and higher quality construction, better performance, quick resume, which is sorely lacking in the PS5, and more games at your fingertips with a game pass, you're a king. The PS5 is very overrated for me, very cheap and poorly bulky construction that definitely does not bring a "next gen" feel, few good exclusives that are very expensive. For me, if you are torn between these two consoles, go blindly with Microsoft, it is much more worth it. I say this without being a fanboy of any company, obviously I have an objective opinion having both consoles.
The best next-generation console. I got it on Black Friday from a German store that had a 15% cashback offer with Eurobank card, and with a 24% tax deduction because it is included in the items exempt from VAT. At around 290 euros, it was a super deal because the new ones are much more expensive, slim, etc
After almost 3 weeks and having formed an opinion, I am now able to comment on the ps5. Initially coming from a ps4 slim, I thought there wouldn't be much difference between them. From the first moment, the difference is evident to a great extent, even in the menu, making it a truly worthy next-generation console. From the games I have played, I am very satisfied with their performance, even ps4 games that look even more enhanced on the ps5. A big positive is that compared to the ps4, even when running heavy games, it is completely silent. Moving on to the Dualsense, which is the controller of the console, there are very important features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which on their own take gaming to another level. Another positive, at least for me, is that it is bigger compared to the older controllers, making it very comfortable. Something that I initially didn't like was that it comes in white color, but I will soon get blue covers and controller, so this particular aspect doesn't bother me much, although it does look nice and white up close. Finally, I would like to mention that I have paired it with a Sony 4k television, so I can enjoy the perfect experience. I highly recommend it and if someone is considering it, I will tell them that it is truly worth it and that it is a console for every gamer who respects themselves. That's all from me! I hope I didn't bore you!
