Good accessory helps exclusively in cleaning carpets as the plastic frame glides over the carpets without getting stuck. It does its job correctly, as it should. As others say, it should be provided as an accessory along with the main vacuum cleaner and not have someone search for and buy it separately.

As others have said, it COULD be included with the piece and not sold separately... as whether I have it on or not, I don't see much of a difference, maybe it slides a little easier since it touches the plastic instead of the fabric directly

Basically, the accessory is meant to hold the cloth so that it doesn't come off when you pass it over fabrics. It should have been included with the purchase, it's a small and unnecessary expense

Necessary accessory for the steam cleaner, as cleaning the carpets was one of the main reasons for purchasing! Although skeptical, in the first test I was completely satisfied, as the carpets had not absorbed any moisture at all, as I initially feared!
