From what it seems, I am the first one to review this product in Greece. The only reviews I found during my market research were in Romanian (!) and they were positive.
I wanted a soundbar with the necessary condition of having: 1. a subwoofer (for enhanced bass), 2. HDMI ARC (to automatically turn on and off when the TV turns on and off and to control the volume only from the TV remote), 3. an aux input (to connect my discman when I want to listen to my CDs), 4. the bar to be relatively large (to provide a basic stereo feeling), and 5. not to cost more than 100 euros. I want a lot, don't I? And an extra radio?
The following concerns the HDMI ARC connection:
I won't say that it produces the richest sound I've ever heard, nor that the bass is amazing, but this soundbar definitely upgraded the sound of my TV (LG 49um7400). It's value for money for movies and music. However, for videos with speech as the main theme, I feel that the sound of the TV is superior. But that doesn't mean that the sound of the soundbar is bad.
Subwoofer: There is no option to add or remove bass, it is fixed and it's just okay. Of course, it is much better than the bass provided by the TV speakers. However, it won't impress you. Too much basic. It is also wireless (connected very easily within seconds to the soundbar), so if you want, you can place it in a socket next to the couch (it has a long enough cable) for a richer experience when watching a movie, for example.
Sound volume: For a small living room (30 square meters), the sound volume of the soundbar will meet your needs and your friends will ask you to lower the music. Of course, this also depends on the source of the sound. At full volume, the sound from the TV is very loud. The same goes for YouTube. But not so much for Netflix and downloaded movies. If you want the windows to rattle, then no, this sound system is not for you.
Bluetooth: No issues, connected to my phone in less than half a minute.
FM: The soundbar scans the stations on its own and saves those with a strong signal (you can't intervene in the frequencies).
USB: You can connect a flash drive (up to 64GB in FAT format) and listen to your music from there. You can also use the remote to change tracks.
Remote: It's okay. It provides 3 different sound options (music, movies, and speech where it simply disables the bass). There is also the 3D effect which is useful in some cases (e.g. speech, electronic music), depending on personal preferences. Update: From what I can understand, the so-called 3D effect actually functions as a toggle button between music and movie mode. So, whether you choose movie mode or 3D effect, it's the same thing. Also, I should note that in movies with intense audio effects (explosions, loud music, etc.), the speaker performs better in music mode.
Display: Nothing special. It only displays the basics. After making a setting or selection, the corresponding indicator lights up and then quickly turns off to avoid being annoying.
Build materials: The subwoofer looks more sturdy and has a matte finish. The bar has that glossy black color that easily leaves fingerprints, and I noticed that it scratches relatively easily.
The packaging includes only one (quite long) aux cable. If you want an HDMI or optical audio cable, you will have to buy them. Also, batteries for the remote control (however, the soundbar has some buttons on the side for basic functions).
Additionally, something unexpected is that, even though it is a Japanese company not very well-known in Greece, it has instructions in Greek (!). The translation is not the best, of course, but you can easily understand it.
One last thing... obviously, it cannot be compared to the very expensive soundbars.
If the sound from a video or song on YouTube, for example, is bad or poor, it will sound bad. If it is good and powerful, it will sound accordingly.
However, at 99 euros, you cannot have high expectations or expect it to support Dolby Digital Plus or Atmos or whatever.
In conclusion, at 99 euros, it is worth its money and will significantly improve the sound quality of the television, especially for music and movies. On the downside, I would prefer to be able to control the bass or at least have them a bit stronger. However, it is okay for a basic (good) sound.
