The Ugreen 50966 is an HDMI signal splitter device 2-in-1 featuring 2 functions.
In this mode, you can connect 2 devices to one screen/TV, such as a game console and a computer. By pressing the button, the switch will automatically switch between these 2 devices. This function is particularly useful if our screen has one HDMI input, but we want to connect an additional device without disconnecting the cables each time.
In this mode, the signal is reversed, and we can connect one device to 2 screens. By pressing the button, the splitter switches the signal from one screen to the other. The image in this mode is displayed on one screen at a time and not simultaneously on both. Useful in cases where we want to change the display screen from one device, such as sending the signal from a decoder from one TV to another.

(6/12/24) It never worked... Connection with the monitor and smart TV, and both are flickering. One HDMI cable for the monitor is 1.5 meters long and the other for the TV is 5 meters. I don't know if this matters; logically it shouldn't. Maybe it would work with its own power supply, but perhaps this particular one is defective.
Very good but it's not for 30FPS and above basically it's not suitable for gaming however for a device like a TV box it is excellent and vfm

It does exactly what it promises. It delays a bit the switch from one screen to another, but it's not a problem for what I'm asking for.
Overall robust, however, the lack of auto switching between sources when only of them is powered on is quite frustrating.

Barely lasted a year. With daily use, three weeks ago, suddenly one of the 2 ports stopped working and the screen was flickering. Very good small size and the button but it doesn't last long.
I was looking for a splitter to send the decoder's image to a second TV for the balcony without having to remove or add cables, it's great, small size, no power supply or anything. You connect the cables and you're done! No issues with the image. Be careful if you need a signal on two screens at the same time, it doesn't work.
In the one month that I have been using it daily, it is flawless. Good price. I don't give five because I don't have experience with others.
Kids are fine and it works great! There is no remote control so you have to go through the process of getting up to change the HDMI, but it does its job very well and with the press of a button it changes the HDMI quickly and easily!
I have been using it for a month to connect two computers to one screen. It works satisfactorily and is small in size. Switching from one computer to the other takes 2-3 seconds, which is acceptable for me.
The product does what it promises with the press of a button, but you can only switch from one screen to another without being able to have both screens at the same time. What surprised me negatively was the lack of a small HDMI cable.
It solved the problem I had and I no longer have to constantly change cables. I have connected two Mac Minis to a computer monitor and it is currently working perfectly. There is a slight delay in switching, but it is not a problem. It is small and discreet, and you can place it anywhere. I have attached it to the back of the monitor stand and it is not even visible. For now, it works great and does what it's supposed to do.
I give it a 4/5 because it takes a little while to change the picture, but overall it's awesome (and for its price)

What you see in the video (I have changed HDMI cables)... by removing the HDMI that connects the screen to the "INVENTION" it fixes for 20"... then either it pixelates or does these strange things in the video. I trusted the reviews and bought it... in the end, I got fooled.
Works great for screen sharing from laptop and PC. 4 stars because I notice some pixelation and occasional flickering on the HDMI 2.1 port, although not always.
I connected it to the TV with a DVD and Nintendo Switch and it works perfectly! I press the button and the switch between the two devices happens smoothly without any issues.
Excellent and convenient product so you don't have to constantly plug and unplug cables. In my case, I have connected the PS5 to the TV and computer screen, so I can switch the display easily. I have 2 identical cables for connecting to the TV and the PS5, which are HDMI v2.1, capable of supporting up to 8K 60Hz resolutions, and the computer screen with an HDMI v2.0, capable of supporting up to 4K 60Hz. However, I tested GT7 and Doom Eternal, which are games with the ability to run at 120FPS, and they both ran smoothly at 120FPS on both the computer screen at 1440p and the TV at 4K. Both screens also have an embedded FPS counter that shows the game's FPS at any given moment. So, even though it claims to support 4K 60Hz, it seems to work at 120Hz in 4K (and 1440p) as well. It serves me perfectly because I don't have to deal with cables. With just the press of a button, I can switch to whichever screen I want to display the content of the PS5. Additionally, it works with two input devices, such as PC + Console or 2 PCs, and one output screen. It doesn't require a power connection, only the HDMI cables are connected to it and you're ready to go. Finally, I want to inform you that it doesn't display the content simultaneously on two screens. Only on one at a time, hence the button and lights, to show you which output or input is active.
Perfect little thing! I have the Cosmotetv box with a PC box and it works flawlessly by changing the port with the press of a button.
In the video, I have the second version and it takes a few seconds to enter the specific port and display the image.
I decided to do this so you know how it works more or less.
Note: There is a small issue with pixelation in the 2.1 cables, as far as I know, there is no issue with 2.0 and below.
I have connected 2 laptops to one monitor and quickly switched between screens without any issues, simply with the press of a button. Additionally, since I was looking for a keyboard and mouse that could be connected to two PCs, I found the Ugreen Sharing Switch and now I have all the USB ports shared between the two laptops! Amazing, as small as it is, it is so functional and practical. The HDMI switch button is just what you need and with the indicator light that shows you which device you want to view, the switch happens instantly within 2 to 3 seconds. I highly recommend it, value for money
I waited a while to give my review. Specifically 2 months+. There are rare cases where it may not make a difference from one device to another, but I noticed that this happens if you remove one or if you turn off its power. In any case, regardless of this, the device does an excellent job for its size and money and is super easy. I recommend it.
I bought it to switch between 2 computers on one monitor. The first computer, which is connected to Output 1 of the splitter, opens normally without ever pressing the button to change its signal. If you want to display an image by opening the second computer (Output 2 of the splitter), you have to press the button, otherwise it won't change on its own. So far, so good. What really annoyed me is that once I wanted to enter the BIOS of the second PC (Output 2 of the splitter), the screen wouldn't turn on when pressing the del key to enter the BIOS. No matter how many times you press the switch button, the screen never turns on and you have to restart your PC from the computer's power button, not from Windows, as the screen is off!!! and you don't have access to Windows, so BE CAREFUL!!! If someone wants to enter the BIOS as their PC starts up, they must first open it and enter Windows normally, then restart and press del (or whichever key for that specific motherboard) to enter the BIOS. The first computer, which is connected to Output 1 of the splitter, does not have this issue. You can enter the BIOS without restarting. I did 5 restarts in 10 minutes until I figured out what was happening.
This one works just fine and is for a computer and any other second device. However, you can't connect two Nova/Cosmote boxes together to display an image by pressing the button on a television. The reverse works with one device on two televisions. 4 stars for this reason.
