This is the second one I’m getting. It does its job just fine. It gets clogged with hair but I think that’s something inevitable. So far, everything is good.
It works with both battery and cable, you need to get used to the adjustments of the heads, it cleans easily and its case is very convenient. You need to go over the same spot 2-3 times to get everything to the same length. I have been using it to trim my husband's hair for 2 months and I am very satisfied.
I bought it before I boarded for 55€. I shaved twice and from then on something happened, probably the battery, and it doesn't charge or work. I haven't touched it in water even though they say it's waterproof.
I think this particular machine is very good value for money. I have been using it for 2 years now for trimming and shaving. It is lightweight, relatively quiet in normal operation (it also has a turbo mode), it comes with various attachments, and it is easy to clean. It has never clogged with the use I make of it.
Flawless. I mainly use it for shaving without attachments with the blade. It shaves the head perfectly in 5 minutes you're done. Without hurting and without needing a second pass. Very smooth feeling, nothing like old machines I had
-It is not suitable for trimming because it does not have steps for the lower 3 millimeters.
-It is not a good machine for short haircuts because the steps it has are not stable and the lines of each step move with pressure, causing lines on the head.
-The only thing worth it is the 3 millimeter step (which has no other adjustment) and without steps.
-I wouldn't buy the same machine again even for 10 euros, the Philips 5000 series had more capable trimmers
Complete equipment package for a well-known and reliable hair clipper. I had a Philips one before that lasted me for years, and I think this one has the specifications to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor. Among the positives are the extremely easy cleaning/washing, as well as the fact that it never gets stuck.
Excellent!
After using the older model Philips QC5050 for over 12 years, from which I was very satisfied (but its comb is broken and there is no replacement), I decided to replace it with something similar.
The HC7650/15 is more practical: fast charging, battery life, adjustable settings every 1 mm, washable with water.
Even at 28 mm it cuts well (other branded machines at >25mm cut 5% or even less). It is a bit bulky but has a good grip.
I have used several similar-priced ones (BRAUN, BABY BLISS, PANASONIC).
It is by far the best except for a PANASONIC priced >150€, which, however, had a different comb for each height and in the end, you had to wash 8-10 combs.
I would buy it again
I have used several machines from different companies and I consider this to be the best one I have had so far. It is value for money, however, this remains to be proven over time. Easy to use, cuts accurately, flawless.
The best gift you can give to a man who respects himself!!! If you shave at a specific length, without much fuss, in 5 minutes you're done, because it adjusts accurately to the head and doesn't leave room for a second pass. It's perfect with or without a cord! Two in one!! As the owner of a previous Phillips trimmer, the QC 5115, I upgraded to the HC 7650/15. It's the best thing that has ever been in my hands. My previous machine lasted 10 years, but after 4 years of use, I would remove the head because it felt weak and I would put a little oil on a cotton swab and pass it over the head, and it lasted 10 years. Now, with this specific one that I have, I hope it lasts longer. For the 50€ I bought it for, it's perfect for all parts of the body, but with caution.
A fan of Philips machines for the past 25 years, mainly in the multigroom (MG) and beardtrimmer (BT) models. I use it for amateur grooming of my beard and body. However, this time I preferred to go for a hair clipper because I wanted a larger head and a more powerful motor for faster results. I felt that the models for trimming had tired me out for the use I wanted them for. This particular one turned out to be an excellent choice and I believe it is worth its price and more. In summary, here are the key points:
- Very powerful motor with the option of turbo mode (which I didn't need)
- Doesn't get clogged anywhere, giving you the desired result with just one, maybe two, passes
- Consistent performance without any fluctuations
- Much quieter than previous models I had
- Fast charging (less than 1 hour)
- Long battery life that allows you to groom your beard and body without any worries
- Despite its somewhat large size, it has a very ergonomic handle and is easy to handle
- Can be used while charging (a big plus)
So far, the experience with this specific machine has been very positive! It cuts very cleanly and doesn't clog at all! It works with both battery and charger!
After the first haircut, I have to say that it is powerful and does not struggle in areas with thick hair like my previous Braun. It has great precision in the settings. It loses 1 star because when I remove the attachments and only the metal remains, it does not satisfactorily cut the short hairs to shape the outline on the neckline. Also, from the power, I notice that hairs are thrown uncontrollably away. The plastic attachments require some careful handling. Finally, I have difficulty with the contrast of the black numbers with the silver background on the length selector.
I had a very old model. but this now is the best. There are others but I chose this because a friend of mine had it, a year ago, and told me the best ...
Well, after a great disappointment from another Philips machine, I managed with this one to shave hair, trim beard (face/neck), and eyebrows in about 4 minutes, and mainly without needing to remove the attachment for cleaning even for a second. I cleaned it at the end with the brush and it had 10 hairs.
In turbo mode, it might even shave the lawn.
I highly recommend it.
(Regarding the attachments, if you have some experience, you can easily do a simple fade on your own)
As the owner of the HC5450/80, I decided to go for the company's latest model. The upgrade justified itself! This particular set is very pleasant and complete!
Apron, comb, and scissors.
The carrying case is made of fabric but with a hard protection and fully protects the machine and accessories.
The charger is the classic one from the company.
The 3 combs are:
a) 1st comb 28-16 mm (adjustable)
b) 2nd comb 15-3 mm (adjustable)
c) 3rd comb 2 or 1(?) mm (non-adjustable) (black)
There is no separate comb for hair and mustache.
They have improved almost completely the "problem" where hair clumps were collected between the comb and the machine during trimming, and now they no longer collect. The motor remains equally powerful but a little quieter (possibly), still allowing for the turbo mode, the mechanism to change the scales is the same, and it is also waterproof but I have not tested it.
The only thing that gives me a little trouble is putting the blade cover back in place, compared to the HC5450/80 that I had, where it had to have a larger margin for the slots to fit and the cover to be properly placed.
Overall, an upgrade that was definitely worth it both in terms of price and extras!
(In the photo, the extras are not visible, but yes, they are all included)
Very good machine, many accessories and it seems like it will withstand the test of time, just like my previous Philips one that I had for almost a decade. Ideal for home grooming and trimming the mustache.
It's worth every penny. I can easily trim my hair to any length I want. It doesn't clog and doesn't pull the hair, so it doesn't hurt. It's very easy to clean. Its battery is more than enough for 3-4 trims. In short, it's excellent in every aspect for an amateur. I have yet to see how long it will last. However, even Philips' razors have completely satisfied me. None of them broke prematurely. And the 5 I bought lasted 5-6 years each before the battery life and shaving quality declined. That's why I bought the same brand trimmer.
