Very good flashlight with plenty of light. For frequent use, you will need rechargeable batteries because they run out faster than other flashlights with less light.
Incredibly powerful. The light hits slightly from the bottom into the eyes, but with a little tape at the bottom, it gets resolved and it's wonderful. Worth it.
The lens is excellent. It is very powerful and has a very good battery life. While riding my bike at night in a place with no lighting at all, the flashlight looked like car lights, literally filling the entire road. Drivers coming from the opposite direction signaled me to turn off the flashlight because it was blinding them. However, they don't seem like 400 lumens to me! I also use it for fishing and it is very convenient as it has a system where with a button you can focus the light on the main beam to see at larger distances up to 60 meters or on the two side lights for closer distances, when you want to tie a fishing line or do some manual work in the dark!
A cheap solution. For normal use (walking, night photography) that I am involved in, it's fine. I don't have an opinion on running because weight (90g), head grip, and vibrations play a role there. Let's not forget that it takes 3 conventional batteries. I would have liked it to be stronger with a slightly better focus on the light, but the battery life is quite satisfactory with mild use (low scale and intermittent dimming).
Owner of 20 lenses including 4 energizer headlamps.
This one is a very good and powerful flashlight with a flaw in its design.
Like the other headlamps in the series, it is lightweight, with a sturdy angle adjustment mechanism, resistant to rain but not to diving, and it has a beam of 400 lumens.
Its positive aspect: 2 buttons, one for all the different modes (white, red, intensity) and the other is a button with memory for the desired function! It is very useful to have the option saved and with just one click, open it there instead of having to hold down the button to dim it to where you want each time. (this applies to energizer models with one button that do not have memory).
Its negative aspect: It has light diffusion downwards, meaning that light falls on your eyes, resulting in less than ideal visibility in the dark. Don't imagine that it blinds you, but it can be a bit annoying. I found the inelegant solution in the photo on YouTube by putting some layers of good insulating tape on the bottom of the prisms. This fixed the problem 100% and although it is not very elegant, it didn't bother me much. I consider it a design mistake, hence minus one star.
And one suggestion: The buttons can be accidentally pressed (difficult but it has happened twice) and the battery can run out without you realizing it... when packing it for transportation, it is good to remove one battery just in case.
I must have received a defective product as it opens, so it needs adjustments in brightness and overall it's all over the place. I will return it and see what happens.
The lens has two types of light. White and red. The white light is very powerful and clear in three different scales. The red light is used in cases where you want the eye to remain adapted to dark conditions! It is supported quite stably on the head. It can be used in most outdoor activities except running.
