For its size, very good bass, sweet mids, and clear highs. If they had a little better treble, I would characterize it as a pretty good pair of speakers for the office or television.
If the volume level on the speakers is at maximum, even if they don't reproduce anything, you hear a buzzing sound... If you lower the volume level, then the result you have is quite good... It cannot be compared in any case to the T40 speakers of the same company as those were clearly superior in sound reproduction quality. I believe that the T100 speakers could be sold much cheaper based on the quality they offer.
I had the pebble and I wanted a pair of speakers with more body and higher volume. I ended up with the t100 because I liked the variety of input options.
Very bad speakers. Loud, with exaggerated bass. Mids and highs are nonexistent. The condition is somewhat better using the optical view, but don't expect miracles. The eq presets they have - accessible only from the remote control - are almost meaningless.
The only good thing I found is that they have an optical input, so I connected them to the TV and it's like having the sound from the TV speakers but with more bass.
If you want distortion, overloaded bass, and mediocre mid/highs from a cheap soda can, prefer them.
The Creative T100 are excellent 2.0 speakers for PC, and after almost 2 years of use, I am completely satisfied.
These are 2 speakers without a subwoofer, with quality and aesthetically pleasing construction, each with a power of 20W (total of 40W). The sound is clear even at maximum volume without distortion. Overall, they are great for gaming, music, and movies in room conditions, but don't expect them to turn your house into a disco party with booming bass with only 40W of power. For that, you will need more powerful speakers.
You will find many connectivity options: Bluetooth, audio jack, optical in, and even USB to play music from a stick. With the remote control, you can make additional adjustments for treble/bass and choose from 4 audio modes (music, cinema, concert, gaming). One use you can make is to play music from your mobile phone and have it sound through the speakers via Bluetooth, without even turning on the PC.
The only construction issue is with the remote control, as it is difficult to open the lid for the batteries. I couldn't open mine at all, and luckily the seller replaced it for free.
These speakers have very good value for money in the mid-range category (around €100) and I recommend them to everyone.
At first, when I got these speakers, they didn't impress me at all, especially in terms of sound quality in the mid and low ranges, so I didn't feel like using them. However, when I connected them with optical, I was amazed. The sound quality went through the roof, crystal clear and rich sound from the 50 Samsung TV for the 40w that the manufacturer provides. If you don't have an optical input, I wouldn't recommend them for serious use.
- Conclusion:
In general, chase after any device that supports optical cable, it's truly a one-way street. That's where the device's true performance shines, especially if you connect it to a good sound console, you'll achieve amazing results.
These speakers are a great value for money at this price.
Elegant and of good size (for my taste, at least), cheap construction (shiny and crooked plastic) compared to other speakers of the same price category, very good in terms of connections (optical + coaxial! well done), stable Bluetooth, quite sensitive (they produce quite a high volume), BUT: the good speakers are not defined by their volume or modern technological features. The high frequencies sound tinny, the midrange is not realistic at all, and their bass... their bass doesn't even reach the lower limits of mid-bass frequencies, which is unthinkable when you've paid a hundred euros and not ten (okay, you don't expect 2.0 speakers at this price to reproduce sub-bass frequencies, but come on, not like this, not producing bass that even a milk carton would produce...). However, what is completely unacceptable is that when they are connected via AUX (and not Bluetooth, optical or coaxial), they emit a very loud buzzing, a white noise, which you can't even call white because it's simply a loud noise, and even without being connected to the three-and-a-half-meter cable to the computer, you can't say that it's because they are close to other cables, etc. You simply plug them into the socket, any socket, turn them on, and they start screeching loudly because you made the mistake of having the volume raised above the tenth step out of the thirty-three available. This means that if, besides drum and bass, metal, etc., you also want to listen to something quiet, like a ballad, at a certain volume, you will have to take your tranquilizers so as not to be bothered by the hellish dog screeching in the background. And the foolish thing on my part is that I had read this in two or three reviews that I looked at before buying them, but I didn't pay attention, I decided to consider it insignificant. In short, useless. Back in their box, return to the store and get our money back, literally. Thanks to the kind person who served me at the store where I bought them. He also noticed the problem himself, gave me my money back, and gave me a second chance to search for other speakers in the same price category (from a different company, of course) that were truly worth their hundred (and something) euros.
Non-existent bass, intensity equal to my television, only the midrange sounds clear, bad purchase, better go back to gigaworks t40ii! And this comes from someone who values sound and not price in terms of performance.
They would receive 5 stars from me if the familiar "low frequency ringing" that exists in all plastic casings of speakers in this category was not audible. For everyday use and simply listening to music from YouTube and watching a movie from a stream or for any single player game, they are more than enough and you don't feel the lack of the SubWoofer of the 2.1 setups.
I have connected them with optical fiber to my PC and with Bluetooth to my iPhone. Comparing the sound quality, of course, the connection via optical fiber is significantly superior and it is normal.
The remote control is not the most high-quality in terms of the plastic cover and the buttons (membrane) have a long travel distance that personally bothers me.
The high frequencies are accurate and clean, not fake and dull like the ones I have tried of similar price (Logitech, Edifier, Trust from 85€ to 108€).
They have much more volume than you would expect from a cheap 2.0 setup.
