The vent hood from Davoline is freestanding and can be installed either under cabinets or on its own. It combines both options! It is the most reliable solution for easy installation, with good performance for small and medium-sized kitchens.

It is a nice-looking extractor fan, but it makes a tremendous amount of noise without any results. I don't mind so much that droplets of steam accumulate on the side cabinets, but it bothers me that the steam from the filter drips into the dishes and food while cooking.
For its price, it is relatively good.
It has power but makes noise.
Average quality.
I don't think it will withstand the test of time.
After two years, one motor gave out.
After three years, it started to freeze and lose sound. On the third level, it is satisfactory. It is installed in the holiday home with very little use on weekends and a short time during the summer.
Very good for a freestanding hood!
I don't know how durable it is over time, but I've had it for a week now and it handles everything!
I use it on level 2 when I cook, and when I boil something on high heat, I put it on level 3 and I am very satisfied!
On level 3, it makes a bit more noise, but it's necessary since you don't need to open it frequently anyway!
This particular extractor fan was purchased in August. It pulls very well, even if you have it on the first setting. It is quite noisy, especially on the third setting, but that doesn't bother me because I was looking for something that would pull and not let the odors spread in the room. I am very satisfied with its performance.
I was looking for a rust-free extractor because I had such an issue with the previous two, and I chose this one based on its features and price. On the positive side: it is entirely made of stainless steel with smooth angles, it has very good absorption capacity, it is presentable and easy to install. On the negative side: it is very noisy, it does not have a low setting (the three settings do not have a significant difference in power, which means that the extractor is noisy from the first setting, power-hungry but effective), it has a mesh-cassette that does not seem sturdy enough as a construction, the included bulbs do not provide enough light and I replaced them with larger ones, exceeding the MAX limit set by the manufacturer, there is no grounding cable. If it doesn't cause any issues, I will be satisfied with the purchase.
I have no opinion on the functionality of the extractor fan because I simply never installed it, the reason being the packaging (in a plain cardboard box, without any protection) meaning that I received it twice and both times it arrived quite damaged. The packaging was simply tragic, it suffered for about a month and as a result, the kitchen needed painting. My wife had unlimited complaints, and I would say they were justified.
Not even to my enemy! By mistake, I got the chrome one instead of the inox one... Terrible paint, awful metal. Fake as can be. The noise is unbearable! My previous blender lasted me 20 years and it didn't make this kind of noise. Worse noise than an airplane taking off. I do not recommend it under any circumstances!
Opening the package, you realize that the device is indeed made of 1.5mm thick stainless steel sheet (hence the increased cost), it is not painted stainless steel, so it will never rust (a scammer jumped because of this) and fingerprints are inevitable. The sheet has a flexibility that does not inspire you, the corners and the internal finishes are sharp (so be careful when cleaning) but you can't have it all. Nothing special mechanically, relatively quiet on the 3rd scale and the bulbs it comes with are funny as their brightness is low. Its performance is good as my kitchen is quite large and to work properly, you need to have doors/windows closed.
For the money I paid, it does its job just fine
