The ACC-1 filter series uses a blend of activated carbons to filter particles, helping to reduce unwanted taste, odors, dirt, chlorine, and other contaminants from the water supply, such as volatile organic compounds from water systems.

A combination of NSF-approved coconut shell activated carbon and non-woven fibers provides effective removal of contaminants from drinking water. 

According to internal laboratory studies, the filter removes 99% of free chlorine, 85% of certain vegetables, solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and other organic compounds. 

The non-woven polypropylene filter acts as a post-filter, preventing the washout of both carbon particles and sediments.
