It does its job, but in some cases, you need to get an ACTIVE or DUAL LINK adapter for it to work

Plays up to 1080p. For 2K, forget it.
Also, it doesn't provide signal on a 5-meter HDMI cable. It's a waste.

It does what it promises and it is affordable! I have been using it for a few days on my Macbook Pro 2010 and I am fully satisfied!

I received the protective plastic and it was detached, resulting in the plug that goes into the Mac being detached and requiring a lot of force to remove... I bought the logo and stuck it, but after 2-3 times of inserting and removing it, some internal wires were cut and it no longer works. I used it on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro that has a Thunderbolt port, but I read that it also works with mini display. It worked the first time, but it was very tight in the port...

The Mac kids are quirky, connected twice and since then refuses. It sees that it is connected to another screen, it just doesn't give a signal. I have a Mac Air 13.1
