Mickey, Donald, Scrooge, the nephews, and the rest of Disney's adorable gang have been beloved friends of both young and old for fifty years. But are they as innocent as we think? Are they as well-meaning as they want us to believe? Beyond the rosy image shown to us by Disney's multinational entertainment company, there is an opposing perspective. (...) The conclusion is that behind the carefree demeanor of Donald's gang, there lies another face of imperialism and - more generally - the dominant ideology in the cultural sector.
