The steam iron with generator GC7930/30 from Philips is ideal for comfortable and quick ironing without worrying about burning clothes. It offers twice as much steam compared to steam irons. Without changing settings and with better crease removal, you will finish your ironing faster.
Forget the burns
Thanks to the OptimalTEMP technology featured in the Philips GC7930/30 ironing system, burns are now a thing of the past, even if the hot plate stays on the clothes or the ironing board.
Temperature setting adjustments are a thing of the past
The OptimalTemp technology, apart from ensuring protection from burns and shine marks on clothes, now makes it possible to iron with just one temperature setting. You no longer need to separate fabrics or change settings while waiting for the iron's temperature to adjust. Iron confidently from jeans to delicate silks with just one setting.
Easy descaling
The integrated Smart Calc Clean descaling system, featured in the Philips ironing system, will remind you when it is time to descale, and a special container is included in the package to make the process even easier and safer.

When I made the purchase, I was skeptical because I had in mind that I should go for Tefal.. after about 3 years, I am very satisfied! A pretty good purchase.
I am satisfied with the purchase as it is lightweight, has a nice plate that glides on fabrics, does not require separating clothes or adjusting temperature, closes on its own for safety reasons, and you can touch it on the ironing board without burning it (I haven't tried it on clothes). The steam is strong, but not so much that you need to iron both sides, especially for cotton and linen. It mainly irons with steam and moistens the clothes. After steaming, you need to pass it without steam and let the clothes air out for a while before arranging them in the closet, etc. The device is quite bulky, although it is referred to as Compact Plus, but it fits well on my ironing board and the advantages are that it attaches and can be safely transported, comes with a base for descaling and you can put tap water in the removable water tank. The model gc7933 is almost the same but more expensive. I have had the gc7930 for a short time and I am cautious about any malfunctions, as I read about ironing systems. Update 2/10/2023: For perfectly ironed clothes (shirts, creases on pants, etc.), I use the classic steam iron. This one works well after 11 months, but I use it more for quick ironing (towels, sheets, T-shirts) where I don't care if there are wrinkles. The downside is that after ironing, the clothes need to stay for a long time to dry from the steam before being arranged in the closet.
