I have the Gigabyte GeForce GTX970 4GB G1 Gaming, after 7 months of use the thermal pads on the cooling of my graphics card, the temperatures on my graphics card are excellent, this thermal pad saved me, excellent temperatures and at normal levels, now at most 55-67 degrees and above in GTA Online, at idle 28-47 degrees and above
For my old GTX 970 G1Gaming, it did the job. Along with NT-H2, it barely reached 60 degrees from over 90 before and had tremendous throttling
Installed on SSD, NVMe, M.2, 22 X 30, plain, like a sticker, without any other metal heat sink. The temperature immediately dropped by 12°C (at least!!) during performance measurement with Crystal Mark simultaneously with Crystal DiskInfo for temperature measurement.
BEFORE INSTALLATION of Gembird Heatsink Silicone Thermal Pad:
SSD Temperature: Up to 67°C
Random Read Speed: 2,370 Mb/s
AFTER INSTALLATION of Gembird Heatsink Silicone Thermal Pad:
SSD Temperature: Up to 55°C (!!). Difference - 12°C
Random Read Speed: 2,430 Mb/s. Difference +60 Mb/s
Note: The measurement was done with 64GB, 5 consecutive times (hard stress test). Manufacturer's operating temperature specification for SSD, up to 80°C.
In normal computer operation, the average temperature I see after installing the Gembird Heatsink Silicone Thermal Pad is 25°C, almost constant. Before installation, I saw 37°C - 45°C.
CONCLUSION:
The installation of the Gembird Heatsink Silicone Thermal Pad resulted in:
- significantly lower temperature on the SSD
- more stable temperature on the SSD with smaller fluctuations
- improved SSD performance
- longevity and reliability of the SSD
Due to the fact that the product was installed on an SSD and not on a CPU (where a metal heat sink would also be required), it makes it ideal and truly value for money. Highly recommended.
