It's great. In places where I know there are wires, it found them right away. There is just a chance that the neutral might be facing outward and make a slower sound. Either way, it works perfectly for me, so I tried it.
It detects alternating current (AC) voltage. It is suitable for professional and home use, especially when there is a need to locate the presence of voltage in wires, sockets, or electrical devices. It covers a range from 100V to 1000V AC. It detects voltage without needing to touch the wire. It is small and lightweight, easy to carry and store. It saves battery by automatically shutting off after a period of inactivity. It is easy to use, even for beginners. Overall, it is useful for everyday maintenance tasks. An essential tool for electrical work.
I bought it because in daylight with the test screwdriver you can't see if the bulb lights up.
It is very good in terms of functionality and with excellent quality materials. It adjusts its sensitivity, so it helps both for walls and for cables that are stuck together and you need to find out which one has the voltage.
I bought it because in the new type sockets with plastic cover, the classic tester cannot detect voltage in the internal holes for child protection. Of course, it will not replace it because it cannot screw in the power. Essentially, one complements the other and this one will show you the presence of voltage with two sensitivity levels, in loose cables left in the air by electricians (not all), or in active cables and sockets, with a faster sound in the phase and slower in the neutral. In high sensitivity, it can detect an active line inside the wall, but approximately, for example, while you see the line coming down vertically from the box to the socket, it also detects it 40 cm to the right and left without any sound variation, which I would not trust for a specific hole. Good quality construction, the flashlight is useful and reaches 20 meters. In conclusion, for its price, it is very good and a life saver. Of course, it is important to test the tool in a socket or cable that you know has electricity, as it is written in English in the instructions for the first use.
I am an electrician and the fact that it has saved my life is an understatement. What can I say when you are asked to strip cables on live currents? It is flawless and I haven't even had to change the batteries yet. The flashlight is very helpful
Having previously purchased a cheaper model (YATO) completely by chance and seeing the many advantages of the induction screwdriver, I decided to get something newer and more economical. FLAWLESS. Nice size with its screen and lens, and of course the automatic shutdown so it doesn't drain your battery. It also has a sensitive button that increases its sensitivity to find an active conductor over thicker insulation.
